When should I use the infusion as a imperil mage? Don't really know how much it will help with clearing speed.

DWD, and that's pretty much it. It's pretty expensive to use them for fests and fairly minimal benefit. (You could use them in the last 100-200 rounds if you like, but it won't improve your performance much, in my experience.)

I would say only in last rounds of IW, or last 300 rounds of PFFEST. Because that's when you need all the help you can get. They work also against schoolgirls for a bit, but you have to use a lot to get through DWD on infusion

A quick question about proficiency gains:
>The rate of gains is based on the amount of experience (including any bonuses to EXP gain) gained during battles where a proficiency is used in some way.
What happens if a character that still has some low proficiency stats hits lv 500 and stops receiving EXP? As I understand it, proficiency gains from a battle are a multivariable function that have the amount of EXP gained from that battle as one of the input multipliers. So when that EXP gain is 0 at lv500, wouldn’t the character get "stuck" at those low proficiency stats that they failed to properly level-up before hitting 500?

you still gain proficiency at lvl 500 up to 600 base proficiency

It just gets harder and harder the higher the prof level is, just like it is to level up, only that after one did reach level 500, there wont be any prof gains from dawn.

Just to clarify, this likely means that, theoretically, a lv500 character with a lv400 prof can (slowly) grind that particular prof to its usual cap (i.e. 500×1.2=lv600 for Base Proficiencies and 1,000 for Effective Magic Proficiencies)? That’s reassuring, if so, because without exp gains prof gains seemed to completely stall as well. Which would’ve been a sad thing to discover after reaching lv500. Thanks for the answers! QUOTE(Elevens @ Oct 30 2019, 00:06) a lv500 character with a lv400 prof
Yeah, no, that isnt possible unless he would actually skip every single dawn since around level 400. QUOTE(Elevens @ Oct 30 2019, 00:06) and 1,000 for Effective Magic Proficiencies)?
That may be the maximal possible prof for magic profs, but i guess that would include fully forged equipment bonus with peerl equipment and the perk. With actual prof gain, you max is no matter what prof just 600 at level 500. QUOTE(Elevens @ Oct 30 2019, 00:06) That’s reassuring, if so, because without exp gains prof gains seemed to completely stall as well. The prof cap was increased to a total max of 600 to give level 500 player something to reach. It wouldnt made much sense if it would be impossible for them to reach them wouldnt it? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Or if you started playing in an earlier version of the game, and reached 500 before dawns could bring prof higher than 400 (this happened to me). At the moment I'm grinding holy proficiency (not needed, just because I can) - by playing Zebra Mage style. Dark mage with T3 holy mixed into it. Works just as well for IW and normal arena's, but does not work for SG (because of imperil) or last 500 rounds of PFFEST (because of low cast speed). My Holy prof started at about 400.

This is the case for all my melee, divine, and forbidden profs. I hit level 500 soon after dawns started giving proficiency.

choose one from these two : QUOTE('wiki') After 90 days of starving a monster will cease to participate in battles and will be un-named. QUOTE('wiki') Names that are marked in red indicate that the monster is flagged for having an unacceptable name. Such monsters will not bring any gifts. Any monster flagged for over a month will be deactivated and unnamed. Renaming a monster removes the flag but does not retroactively bring any gifts that were lost due to being flagged.

Infusions give +25%p EDB to spells, right? Because in wiki what I read was infusions reduce elemental resistances I'm a bit confused @_@ https://ehwiki.org/wiki/Damage
