QUOTE(unnoticed demon @ Oct 14 2019, 04:56) The wiki doesn't say much on the rates of drops on bindings. Thats why I was asking if there was anything else.
statistically, 85%: cloth, metal, wood, leather 14%: bindings 1%: phazon, RA, DMM, SF

Should I not bother with Staffs? Looking at the advice part of the wiki, and it doesn't mention Staffs but twice, and only then to ignore 2 abilities. Should I just hold out for a good 1 Handed Rapier or weapon of the Battlecaster? I alternate between a Warrior on Hard difficulty for the Arena and a Mage on Nintendo for when I encounter a monster on the News portion of the site, and I feel like I've had a good experience with that, but I don't know if this is the best way to do things

playing with staff is difficult at your level. Easiest way to play is to use 1h melee style for a while, until you are at level 310. It is possible to play mage at low level, just not that easy. If you want to play with staff, you will need a good matching staff first. Those are hard to find. Morr info on going mage can be found in the wiki advice and advice advanced. (link in my sig) Battlecaster is for 1h-mage style, which not a good way to play at your level.

Thanks Reco17 thats what I was looking for. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Do you know if a monsters power level affects them percentages? I know it affects the quality cloth, metal, wood, leather you get, but can it up the chance of getting bindings? This post has been edited by unnoticed demon: Oct 15 2019, 15:16

This is why new players are advised (constantly!) to unlock as many monster slots as possible, rather than just raising one strong monster. It is an incredibly inefficient investment with a very very long-term payoff to level monsters for profit.

Thanks lestion. Not planing on spending credits. And I'm all ready using any Chaos Tokens I get too unlock monster slots. Just got a lot crystals and was just working out the best use of them, Sell, use or keep. Seems the best use of them is to use them over time to keep the monsters happy.

In the lategame, how viable is a mage/hybrid build dual wielding two weapons with the same elemental prefix?

It'd have very similar EDB to a staff, but none of the MDB, none of the defensive benefits of 1H mage, and no useful benefits from the DW fighting style. So... while I'm sure it can be played... why would you? edit: also no counter-resist, no proficiency (mage-type, deprecating or supportive...), no int/wis, no magic accuracy, no magic crit, can't get staff IW potencies This post has been edited by lestion: Oct 17 2019, 07:15

I was wondering has anyone ever make an overall guide about what prefix/suffix/stat/type of item is desirable in the market. Being a new player, this topic is quiet overwhelming. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Hello Experts!! A quick question about the item inventory slots. It is possible to get them up to 15, but with the 3x health, 3x mana, 3x spirit and the last elixir you get to 10, ED, Bubble Gum and Flower Vase make 13. So the question I have is, what could be put in the last 2 slots? And how many of the Scroll and Infusion slots do experts unlock? (Haven't used those yet, but my focus has been on Random Encounters and they're not needed there obviously.)
Have a great day all!

Being a new player, this topic is quiet overwhelming. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) This is an enormous and somewhat controversial topic, especially since it also depends on level, but all 3 major auctions have a criteria list (in particular see decondelite's for a quite exhaustive list of level-graded items, or Superlatanium's rules for sending items for things that are highly desirable at high level). Caffeinated candies from lottery prizes are one more thing. You can also put scrolls and infusions in those slots if you like. I personally play with 4 scroll slots - enough to keep scrolls of life, plus to switch between either gods/avatar or swiftness/shadows/protection. You will only need 1 infusion slot these days, as a mage will focus solely on one element, and melee players do not use them in battle (rather, they apply them to their equipment via enchantments at the forge). You can actually use item slots for infusions or scrolls as well. I have: 14 item slots, 6 scroll slots (all full), 2 infusion slots (but only need one actually) I use item slot for scroll of life, because it doesn't fit into fht scroll slots. And also for ED, gum, vase. Then the rest of item slots is just all restoratives including last elixir. This post has been edited by DJNoni: Oct 19 2019, 10:13

Is using scripts necessary? Could I just play this manually with casual joy? Someone told me that using scripts is very important to not become tired but its interface confuses me so hard... I like the original font of HV (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

Someone told me that using scripts is very important to not become tired but its interface confuses me so hard... I like the original font of HV (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) no, it's simply ease to play instead of clicking each time you wants to attack, with script you could just hover your cursor over the monsters and it'll automatically attack using your chosen default hover action. it might doesn't sound so different for low level as one battle usually only a few minutes, but at mid and higher level it could go for a half hour or more for one arena challange. but once again, it's not mandatory to use script. though, to be honest the more you play not using script the closer you are to masochism than casual joy. No, it isnt. All scripts are imo just a nice to have, but sure as sure no must have. QUOTE(Fudo Masamune @ Oct 20 2019, 20:05) instead of clicking each time you wants to attack,
Well, one could also just use the numblock. I played years just press those until the monster was death and switched to the next button. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Okay, i admit i wont want to go back, but i was fine with it like i said for a very long time. But i would really recommend to use at least Live Percentile Ranges. That script just makes it so much easier to compare equipment and see which is actually better as the other.

The action called pressing the key. But, technically speaking it's still the same action as clicking. both are pushing a button.

Well, one could think that way, but finding out that pressing numblock numbers was an alternative to clicking with the mouse did really increase my clearing speed. So i say that it is a huge difference and improvement to clicking with the mouse. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
