AKA the guaranteed equip drop, right (the same that stays at min. average quality even on PFUDOR)? And since both tiers 4 & 5 are min. Superior, tiers 6 & 7 are min. Exquisite, etc, I guess what the +1 does is increase the chances for good slot rolls post the quality roll? I.e. Tier, Suffix, PAB, Prefix, etc?

Preferred options are Tempestuous / Demonic Willow of Destruction, Tempestuous Redwood of Destruction and to a lesser extent, Demonic Katalox of Destruction. Mag mage gear is hard to sell.

hmm... i'm not that practical about using clubs anymore, but a suggestion i had back then when i had the same doubt as yours was: "first hit still has to connect". also, you should have enough Speed already, so i wouldn't invest too much on Swift. if any, on Crit - hence Fatality.

personally i'm rocking my [alt.hentaiverse.org] Rapier of Slaughter + [alt.hentaiverse.org] Wakizashi of Nimble set, with a Savage Shadowdancer as well.

my second choice would probably be Axe of Slaughter + Rapier of Balance, yep. or Club of Slaughter + Rapier of Balance if survivability with Axe is not that good.

Conventional advice is that club slaughter / rapier balance is the best offensive combo, and rapier slaughter / waki nimble is the best defensive option.

(By the way, since rapiers can be lowered to 0 burden with a feather, I would prefer the Hallowed one over Ethereal for arenas - and there, the extra evade barely matters anyway... and I would rather use a defensive setup for fests and IWs.)

Nice to have you back! There was a time that fatality/butcher was the standard answer for IW, but actual experimenting lead to the insight that overpower is essential for DW/2h. OP5 or bust.

OP5 has always been essential for DW/2H, btw. someone speculated that DW Club could make it without it, but i doubt it's still possible with the current average mob pool
