No misleading names (e.g. "Weak Against Holy" or "Bob the Dragon" on a non-dragon monster)

That's never been enforced. I don't know why it's still there, but just ignore it.

The therm missleading is used wrong in this context. You cant change your weapon during battle, you cant really change your mage style. So to misslead you to anything, it had to be possible for you to even get misslead to the wrong action. But no matter what their name is, you will still start the battle with the same weapon you would use if they had another name. So fact is there is no missleading and wiki tells again bullshit. Also they have these names for years no and as you can see they are still there. So if you dont like their name, iirc there was a script to change names you see. Ask juggernaut about this, iirc he is using it together with a selfmade nameslist or just ignore them.

It is still there because no one gives a fuck about this "rule" anyway. I am not even sure if this is an official rule or just something someone made up by himself. Wouldnt be suprised about it.

Get Innate Arcana Hath Perk ASAP. 1 at least (Spark of Life) and 2 recommended (Spirit Shield).

Well, by blocking or evading that attack. Or by parrying that attack. And I must say, SOL on IA is a nice help.

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) The problem is that it was a Void attack, the stupidest thing about all this is that I have been resisting battles with 12 monsters in PFUDOR difficulty, and I came to kill one in a battle with a formation with only 4 monsters, that is the worst of this affair.

Been there, done that.

Doesn't happen to me with SoL and Spirit Shield.

And use HoverMode. The fact that you can interrupt HoverMode really helps to avoid lags.


Also, getting a manly Heavy Armor and developing manly Heavy Armor proficiency with it with lots of HP really helps to tank those unlucky (or lucky for the monsters owner) hits that pass your parry, evade and block chances.

I'm getting kind of bored by playing Arenas all day long. I was thinking of running an IW service... Is that profitable?

I disagree, evade, block and parry are a nice to have, but when monster deal that much damage to you that they can just one hit kill you those can only bring you so far but mitigation will solve this problem once and for all. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Well, if you find arenas boring, you will probably not enjoy doing that very much either... given how much more demanding it can be, sometimes, in terms of how many runs you'll have to do (assuming you want to complete them in a reasonable time frame).

It is profitable, in the same way that other modes of play are profitable - if your drop training is high enough. You will take a hit on crystal drops compared to grindfest, and you will need archaeologist to be maxed or at least close otherwise you'll be bleeding enormous amounts on energy drinks.

Even then, arena is generally the most profitable thing you will do.
