Like you said, I don't really care about the max condition of a piece of equipment for itself; I was just wondering if I could use it as a quick way to gauge how good something is compared to another piece of equipment, since I can't seem to get the Live Percentile Ranges script working.
I believe you can't. if you wants to use one specific stats to compare one thing to another, you could use it's base pxp but that is pretty much unreliable.
it's like a power level meter but, as an illustration, it's like looking at total stats number and saying that a 1 atk 999 def sword is equal to 500 atk 500 def weapon just because they have 1000 total stats.

First, let me state that I'm not an expert but my immediate concern is that you're not playing on PFUDOR.
he is playing niten with mag-tier equipment, cannot playing PF regularly is a given. he simply didn't have enough survivability to play PF.

IWBTH, all buffs besides spirit shield, health and, if more than 4 enemies, mana draughts and slashing everything while healing as needed. When there are 4 or less enemies, I use spirit to boost attack/when I need to cast non-free regen/heartseeker. When there are 5+ enemies, I use spirit mostly on Skyward Sword + sometimes on the beginning of round with many enemies or for cheaper non-free regen/heartseeker. When there are many enemies, I often get low hp and sometimes trigger SoL, which I fix by using potions.
why not using spirit shield? spirit draught/potion are cheap. are you mistakenly thinking that spirit shield use overcharge? the one used for spirit stance and melee abilities (i.e skyward sword)
also, clearing stuff fast for melee is kind of faraway dream unless you've splurge enough investment in equipment and forging.

My main problem are piercing attacks, since I'm using 100% shade armor. Maybe using only shade is a mistake?
instead of focusing on specific mitigation, you should focus on damage avoidance first (evade and parry), so if you could, get a nimble wakizashi instead of a slaughter one.

Shall I Soulfuse this shield?
[203244413]
Legendary Mithril Kite Shield of Warding (172)
I try to find a better force shield, but it is either too expensive or not good enough.
should you soulfuse it? just ask yourself if getting a better shield in near future is a viable option for you.
for a reference I also use kite shield and I soulfuse it
https://hentaiverse.org/equip/69115722/89f1af0cd8but that's because I told myself that I won't buy any force shield anyway (those were excruciatingly expensive back then). used that until mid 300 until replace it with self drop force shield, never thinking of it as a mistake.
kite might be having substantially lower block than force shield, but a little forging easily fix that, and forging kite is cheap compared to forging force shield. my main problem with your shield is it lack dex...
