1. Try find guaranteed sub 5M dual potency seller

There is a thread on WTS asking 4,5M for dual potency for weapon recently (*´▽`*)

Search for tonyi and try to negotiate with him.

I think I'd prefer a set cap on what I pay, rather than continue to burn a hole in my metaphorical wallet semi-permanently.

Also, look at Vivikinomoto`s and Kinights`s threads. They had logs of costs and runs. Worth looking __〆(￣ー￣ ) at how much you would be expected to pay for price-as-it-go run.

My elemental has been ~1.075-1.085 times my level since lvl 38X
Right now, 1.087 and I have assimilator only at 2. ヾ( `ー´)シφ__

From the stats posted in that thread, there were people that mainly played 1H whose calculation was also around this much ~1.085

So probably what makes ┐(︶▽︶)┌ sense is a set prof/level ratio depending on your assimilator.

If it's a "fairly set" prof/level ratio, and gianfrix's opinion, the winner is "Let it ride".

The price of IW really depends on the level of service and your luck. Most will charge you 9c/PXP, plus the shards used.
I won't reveal the final price of what I do on perfect IW for my part, I consider that it's a private deal. Let's just say that you should forget about perfect potencies if you don't have money and patience. And if you really want things to be faster, well prepare to pay so that your IW runner earns at least as much as if he was playing arenas.

The alternative you might want, if you have a bit of time, is to IW your weapon yourself, and then send it for a Dark Descent reforge service. That solution is much less expensive, if you provide the shards. If you don't provide the shards, well it's still cheaper than the IW service, but it can quickly go beyond 500k if more than 30 shards were needed.

My opinion: if you want to cut off the price it costs, accept a near-perfect potency, like SS1 or OP1 as 9th potency. Close to perfect is already very good.

Your legendary hallowed rapier of balance has decent potencies as is because it can be used offhand for DW club. Let the buyer decide whether he wants to keep or reforge those potencies, and pay accordingly.

But4/Fat5 is better than But5/Fat4 because you won't be soulfusing your rapier. When it gets underleveled the Fatality will provide more damage, and even does so by default depending on what power armors you wear. But definitely accept either result, and possibly Swift or Overpower 1.

I don't know how much dual potency really costs but I've been doing a lot of item world (slowly) including recently and the typical 9c/PXP charges are about right (neither a bargain, nor overpriced). So I recommend you pay for dual potency the non-safe way. Pay according to actual costs and reforges. My instinct tells me even 4m is overpriced on average.

decondelite just finished a dual potency on DCFulano's legendary demonic rapier of slaughter, so why not ask them how much it costed? Ahaha decondelite has said he won't tell you, as I was typing this. Maybe DCFulano will tell you. :3

It's not worth 5m. At least when I check vivi's records, 5+4 is usually less than 1m. Melee weapons do not have as many possible potencies as armor, so most likely the cost shouldn't be too much if the IWer is good. This is just my point of view since I'm not professional.
Also I do forget that balance can be used as offhand weapon for DWers (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ....I should worth a lot since it has hallow and great stats.

Strategy helps a little, but more with cutting costs on non-perfect IW such as with 1 swift strike or overpower, or also ethereal weapon going for a good element. With two potency it's more obvious what you should be doing and when you need to reset.

As an IW runner, strategy doesn't only "help a little", it is mandatory. When someone entrusts you his equipment and pays you 9c/PXP, he expects you to know what you're doing, to use as little shards as possible and to be transparent/professional in how you're billing him.

This is certainly not an activity that everyone can do. I sure can tell you that I haven't started this activity "just like that".

All stats of equipments are rolled in a certain range. Higher rolls mean better qualities. For melee weapons and armors, Attack damage bonus is the priority. High-level players pursue items of high quality. A L rapier of slaughter with 10%adb might be bazaared, while a rapier with 90%, and with nice prefix may go up to 5, or even 10millions in auctions.
Also noted, the percent takes legends' database as reference. So items other than legends and peerless might have negative percentages. Anyway, the higher the better.

You might want to read a little in the Price check thread to see what people prefer. Usually Rapier of Slaughter, Force Shield, Radiant/Charged Cloth/Phase of non Protection/Warding are among the best equipment.

Let min_adb and max_adb respectively be the minimum and maximum possible ADB for a piece of Legendary equipment. Note that these two values, AFAIK, are calculated from the accumulated data of all equipments, not the theoretical values. Then x% ADB means that piece of equipment has an ADB of min_adb + (max_adb - min_adb) * x%. Roughly near 0% ADB means the worst ADB you can get from a Legendary piece and near 100% ADB means the best ADB.
You can raise base stats by forging, but you cannot change the roll. So if a piece has 25% ADB, it will be that way forever.

Ah I see, I mean the most expensive things in the bazaar is like below 15k, and the item itself is not horrible sometimes, Legendary Fiery Rapier of Slaughter for example mmm...
