What do you feel is the best to train? I already maxed Adept Learner with some levels in item drop rates. Is there anything I should focus on or avoid entirely?

Well, for the drop training i have one imo very important advice. Only train them when they cost a sum you can easy obtain, otherwhise it could feel like you wasted your credits, because especially the last levels take a while to pay off. So allways see them as a long therm investment, not as a fast way to get rich. But in the end they all pay off, so imo they are all worth it. QUOTE(mangafans1 @ Jul 8 2019, 03:49) You are welcome. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) QUOTE(mangafans1 @ Jul 8 2019, 03:49) i should forge more to upgrade my character defense particular the Mitigation
Hm, let me take a look. Well, i would in general your mitigation do look okay for your level, but i have to admit, i never tried a full Fest at your level, so i cant tell for sure. Sorry. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) So, what i could tell you is how i did it. I allways did take a closer look at what killed me. So when a monster did kill me with magical attacks, i did forge some MM, when it was a physical attack i did forge PM. QUOTE(mangafans1 @ Jul 8 2019, 03:49) and i saw i have 0 elec and void Mitigation feel very bad with this
Yeah, those 0% elec mitigation could be a problem. Such a critical attack hurt and in your case one that is also elec would really hurt. But hey, look at it this way, your fire and holy does look good. Just ignore void. Because... QUOTE(mangafans1 @ Jul 8 2019, 03:49) is there some way to cover void damage ?
... there is just no way to fix that. All you can do is look at what sort of attack it was. Against that element you cant do anything. QUOTE(mangafans1 @ Jul 8 2019, 03:49) i tried several times best score is 750 and worst is 480

Avoid Archeologist (Unless you're rich in credits), the monster ones, Tincture and Set Collector. Do some ability boosts, assimilator and pack rat if you tend to use items frequently in-battle, having 6 slots at least guarentees being able to use all draughts and potions. Possibly consider Scholar of War if you plan to shifting more to scroll usage instead of casting supportive spells.

What's the best way to compare two pieces of equipment? I'm considering switching from this Mace to this Mace, but I somewhat feel that the 2nd Mace would be slightly worse particularly because of the lower stun chance. The main issue is I don't know of a good way to see the base stats of the first one before I forged it, so I'm having trouble comparing the two.

Indeed he ONLY reason to Archeologist to earn more Precursors per day. I have my Archeologist stat to 5 and I get on average 3-6 Percursors per day. However it took an initial investment of 1.1 million to get it to 5, although by selling Precursors and EDs I earned all of that back and then some.

Live Percentile Ranges QUOTE(bbobjs @ Jul 8 2019, 04:42) I'm considering switching from this Mace to this Mace, but I somewhat feel that the 2nd Mace would be slightly worse The Ethereal Mace has higher damage, a tiny bit higher crit chance, higher accuracy (if you care about something) and has higher or equal PAB. Seems obvious to me. QUOTE(bbobjs @ Jul 8 2019, 04:42) particularly because of the lower stun chance.
I have never heard that this could actually be a reason to choose a weapon. Thanks, that tool helps a lot! Sorry to ask a follow up question, but I'm considering treating that Mace as my end game weapon, is there anything cripplingly bad about it that I should think about before investing heavily into it (other than the obvious draw back of being a Mace)? I guess the base attack is on the low side, but is it low enough that I should consider holding out for something better?

No need to be sorry, that is what this topic is there fore. QUOTE(bbobjs @ Jul 8 2019, 05:25) but I'm considering treating that Mace as my end game weapon, is there anything cripplingly bad about it that I should think about before investing heavily into it
Well, it is a weapon with only two minor flaws. One it is a 24% Mace, and two it is a 24% Mace. Now i realise that, technically speaking that is only one flaw, but i thought it was such a big one it was worth mentioning twice. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) QUOTE(bbobjs @ Jul 8 2019, 05:25) (other than the obvious draw back of being a Mace)?
So, exept it been a 24% Mace it is a fine weapon. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) QUOTE(bbobjs @ Jul 8 2019, 05:25) I guess the base attack is on the low side, but is it low enough that I should consider holding out for something better?
Tbh been a mace is imo allready enough to consider holding out for something better, the low damage only makes it worse. Sorry, but this is the truth.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) How much of that is the 24% and how much is the Mace (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ...because I'm committed to playing Mace despite the limitations. I guess to rephrase it, is investing bindings into a Mace considered a mistake by default or is it only a mistake when the Mace is below a particular range? Like if it was a 50% Mace would that drastically alter the calculation or would the "Mace" aspect remain the bigger issue?

That mace is not an end game weapon material. Especially for such low-demand weapon type. If e-stark could buy a peerless ethereal balance for mere 1.6m, and 81% ADB demonic slaughter was unsold on auction only to be pawned on bazaar, you could get a waaaay better mace than a 24% adb one cheaply.

QUOTE(bbobjs @ Jul 8 2019, 06:05) How much of that is the 24% and how much is the Mace (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Hm, this is like decide why it actually is a bad idea to eat plutonium, because of the deadly radiation or because of its deadly toxicity. But to answer your question the best way i can think of, i would say yes. QUOTE(bbobjs @ Jul 8 2019, 06:05) ...because I'm committed to playing Mace despite the limitations. Ah, but here this is now i think a missunderstanding. Because you get most of the materials and bindings back, no matter in what weapon you put them into, i would not say it would actually a bad idea to upgrade the mace, i would just say mace in general and this mace in special is nearly as far away from a end game weapon as it is even possible. I would never even suggest someone to use one at all. But i guess you use heavy armor and the mace is everything that does actually keep you alive? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Jul 7 2019, 21:24) But i guess you use heavy armor and the mace is everything that does actually keep you alive? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Uh, Heavy doesn't... or at least when I was last using it that was the case. Shade seems to do a good job of keeping me alive on PFUDOR. For example, the Mace I'm replacing, was able to forge it mostly on PFUDOR using a significantly worse Mace. Surviving PFUDOR DWD isn't an issue either, I can do it at roughly replacement rate on consumables; the main issue is that it takes almost 2 hours... but this was without knowing that Imperil lowered physical mitigation, so I suspect that I can bring my time down significantly but it's still probably going to take over an hour. Admittedly round 70ish+ on PFUDOR IW is a bit dicey, but still very doable. I think I have a lot of room to improve my gear too as, this is what I'm currently working with: The levels are 261/278/251/282/284 respectively, only the helm has IW levels and only the gloves are forged. EDIT: ^ I'm kind of expecting to get laughed at for this gear, but it's working well for me. I am a bit concerned that I'm actually playing very poorly though and the game just hasn't started giving me the proper feedback loop yet, that there's some fundamental aspect of the game I'm either failing to understand or that things are soon to ramp up in some way I lack the foresight to dread. I'm definitely concerned that there's a wall waiting for me to hit it. EDIT 2: QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Jul 7 2019, 21:49) Ah, yes, wasnt it even me who suggested to switch to light/shade? I believe so, you and another player or few. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by bbobjs: Jul 8 2019, 07:08

Ah, yes, wasnt it even me who suggested to switch to light/shade? Anyway, when you keep upgrade your armor, with better pieces and some forging, very soon you no longer would actually need to use a mace. I mean your current set does allready look promising. Well, sure as sure not from me. I will never laught about the equipment of someoneelse. Well, except he made some funny names or something like that. We are talking about 1000 rounds, of course there will be attacks that gets through your block and parry and hit you. I mean my damage avasive stats are 4.6 % evade chance 69.4 % block chance 71.8 % parry chance and monster are still able to hit me. QUOTE(mangafans1 @ Jul 8 2019, 06:50) i mean i tried several times challenge to clear Pfest

Oh, i see. I was a bit confused by the therm score. But may i suggest to do IWBTHFest when you are not able to do a full PFest? They are quite a bit easier to clear and what you get out of them is not so different. QUOTE(mangafans1 @ Jul 8 2019, 06:50) also my first time i got a sudden death with 480 rounds ,i only remember i click regen icon and i am dead right way (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) Yeah, something like that can still even happen to me. In high level, PMI and MMI forge are a boost to ease of play instead of a necessity (unless you're playing some wacky playstyle). On your case, I think it will help somewhat, but I believe higher block/parry from higher level help your survivability more than a few upgrades on PMI/MMI forging. So, first off all, Thanks to all who send me stuff and posted advice! You guys are awesome! I could raise 50 levels easily thanks to you guys.
Now, quick question about draughts.... How many should I buy? Someone said I should get 20k mana/health pots.
Should I do that?
