First you should tell us what weapon you are using, and how you have distributed your experience points in your primary attributes.

I'm telling you, since I'm lower level than you, and it does not take me too long to finish that Arena challenge, and I'm using the Dual-welding style of fighting. Which also leads me to ask you, how many are your proficiency points that you have in the one-hand fighting style? Because if you have very low those points is the reason why you delay so much to finish that challenge.

I haven't played in a long time, and when I did play before I didn't look at any guides, so I'm very much lacking in knowledge.

Fo search a new rapier, a non elemental rapier of balance for 1H is nothing but mediocre. Also a full power set (i would suggest three of protection and two of warding) is also a must have it will increase your damage together with the new rapier by quite a bit. Also you really should your Dex get at least close to your Str, personally i have Dex even higher as Str and you can increase your Agi by a few points, not enough to get your attack speed bonus above 0%, but enough to get a bit additional PM. And you really should reduce your Int, as 1H the only thing you actually get from it are a few spirit points, and for that you did spend way too many XP on Int.

Belive me that I have a lot of questions about your stats, also; you dont have any ethereal weapon to this point of your game?

But I have a question for Uncle Stu, why is proficieny in general is so low if I am 6 levels of power below him and my proficiency it's a lot bigger than his? And for the record, I don't have any level in proficiency training.

Hello can I use Spirit Shield to replace Spark of Life? Since the boss in Ring of Blood usually one shot me, I've tried Absorb but sometimes their attack just go through it, and Shadow Veil is just unreliable so I don't dare to try.

So let me get this straight. You are six level below him and you do wonder why your proficiency is bigger as his even when you dont have any level in assimilator training? Is that your question?

If that is the chase, i can think of multiple explanaitions, first he said he didnt played since a long time, and the prof bonus you get from Dawn is relatively new, so i would assume he did lack those points, what also could be possible is that he switched his playstyle quite often, or that he even does play multiple playstyles at the same time. Those are at least the things i can thing of right now.

Reduce your difficulty at least for the RoB when it is too hard, no matter what difficulty you clear them, you still get the trophies, the clear bonus and the rest is not that big as that it would be actually worth it to clear it on a difficulty you have to fear they kill you. Really, it is imo way better to make sure you do win it and dont waste the blood token.

Although I think you are quite right with the dawn of the new day, since I started playing again just when the last version of the Hentai verse came out.

I play typical mage, buff and debuff first, then smash spells, drink some potions if needed. Here are my proficiency and equipment.





I'm currently farming noodle, but still fail 2/3 of my tries.

Greaves

Sabatons

Okay, you need new equipment. The whole set is pre 0.82. And what about the rest? What weapon do you use? Did you set all your abilities? What difficulty do you actually fight on regulary arenas and what difficulty do you fight RoB?

Btw i am allready quite sure you use a 2H weapon, longsword or estoc.

This is NOT the way to play mage. Mage is hard, you need to have way better gear, and higher level, and a lot of other stuff to be able to go against bosses as a mage. 1h however would have no problem surviving such a battle. So my advice to you is: switch play style now and come back to mage later (lv350 or so).

But feel free to do it the hard way, of course.

Tried different weapons, saw that i lived well with 1h + shield

I can comfortably clear "Hell", but it takes longer than I have time in the day.

How do you tell if something is pre-0.82 ?

I'm thinking maybe it would be wiser for animarum to switch to 1H/Light w/leather & shade until he can afford proper power armor.

Also animarum if you so wish I will donate you my backup Magnificent Force Shield of Warding. It has a nice block and you can Soulbind & use it immediately if you enough Fragments
