So I've read a some guides and the advice wiki page. As far as I can tell, for low levels (< 150), it doesn't seem like there's much to actively do. So far I've just been clearing out arena quests daily and pop in every now and then for a random encounter.

Is there something else I should be adding to this routine? Or is this basically as much as I can progress daily for the early game?

is there a way to check the "true" base stats of an item? (like if its upgraded what the base stats were without the upgrades)

It's like that at very low level, and you can use the Chaos Token you sometimes get from Arenas to open slots in Monster's Lab and create monsters, those will bring you gifts (read the wiki for details).

Not in the standard interface. You can use add-ons, i.e. scripts, that calculate that "backward", though they are not absolutely precise.

Routine is good, keep it like that. Add more random encounters if you can. In the mean time:
1. try higher difficulties, see what you can manage with your current gear
2. upgrade your gear
3. try higher difficulties again

Yes. Just install Live percental ranges script, and press 'a'

should be cheap. mana potions are so cheap that nobody needs frugal. That makes it actually slightly worse than an elemental prefix. So you just pay for the prof %. 60% is cheap, 90% costs some more.

As weapon a rapier of slaughter is as high as possible damage and good parry is imo also important. As shield a force shield with SDE and as high as possible block.

When is a good moment to start upgrading your gears to get forging experience?

I change them periodically (lvl 200ish) and I want to get forging exp so that when I get soulfused stuff (I guess no soulfusions until I get something peerless/legendary) I can do it right.

But when is a good moment to start and what should be the quality of the equipment to upgrade?

Well, it would only be my magnificient ethereal waki, as the rest of the stuff is power/force and repurposed actuators are kinda expensive to use them on a temporary weapon.

Obviously, I wouldn't put any binding or rare materials on them, just basic stuff.

But when you stop doing that, would be a good moment, to start upgrading your equipment.

And waste a shit-tone of credits with all those materials you will loose even when you salvage them? When you want to do it right, choose the right priorities. You forge level is not one of them you should have.

Ehm, maybe you want to refrain that sentence, because you dont need even a single actuator for your weapons.

That would still be quite some money for most people at your level.

Hm, no you should wait until you goit equipment you actually would and will soulfuse.

Btw a waki is imo not really the best weapon for 1H, for your level i guess it is okay, but maybe something you want to keep in mind.

So I guess wait for level 500 then? As it's when I will stop switching equipment for those of higher levels, unless I get Peerless (and that won't happen, I guess).

And btw, that waki is there because it did better than the Ethereal Rapier I had before. The damage was similar, but the waki has better parry and allows me to counter, so I deal a lot of damage from that.

Obviously I want a better Ethereal Rapier, Magnificent if possible, as the other higher level Exquisite Rapier I have I can't equip yet, is "of the Nimble", so damage is slightly lower and with worse specs; and I can't equip it yet (lvl 229).

You will stop switching waaay before that.
In general melee is cheap to forge, so you can forge any equip you are wearing to lvl 5 on all stats.
And speaking of when you will stop switching equipment, once you get Legendary armor/weapons with ADB 50% or above, there won't be much incentive to switch over.

Either way, at the moment I wouldn't upgrade anything past lvl 5 if I were you.
Once you get to lvl ~350-400 that's when you'll start getting equips that last a long time.

I wouldn't soulfuse stuff either if I were you. At least not until you get Legendary with good ADB.


Then again, I would suggest you get ready to swap over to mage at lvl 350. Because even the cheapest mage set up is way faster than melee.


P.s. forging level doesn't matter.
If you REALLY want to get high forging, you can just send your gear with the materials over to someone who has max forge level and they'll upgrade it for you.
