You aren't listening. It looked like the Peacock's MP gauge when down when it used its spirit attack. This question had absolutely nothing to do with absorb.

The only thing I can think of is that the Peacock attacked twice in one turn.

That's the best reason I could come up with as well. I probably didn't notice it because the peacock definitely used peck on the turn after THAT.

So it probably went spirit peck, peck, my turn, peck. Which would have been unnecessary overkill if it had been on normal and not cake.

Yeah, I agree. Monsters are still incredibly overpowered. I still barely get enough credits to heal myself on normal. First their attacks and magic were powered up heavily in the last version, and now they're getting spirit attacks! It's cool, but they're way too powerful, even the ones that are 5 levels below me. I'm level 26, my agility and dexterity are level 23 and my strength and endurance are level 28 and I can still barely dodge anything. I could play on cake, but I need items pretty badly. Please Tenboro, make the monsters a bit weaker!

So Spirit Attacks for mobs is different from ours? Because in the Primary -> Derived Stats post, it says Spirit always hits (as opposed to phys and magic where hit-miss ratings play into effect). So I take that when cast, it will always "make contact" and then do calcs for a "no damage" scenario (blocked/evaded/parried) since a dodge is basically a miss. The language is kinda vague. Or maybe my english isn't good enough.

Can Skills even be parried, regardless of their damage type?

Monsters have a somewhat different system. It's less complex than the one for players, for monsters a "spirit attack" is just a skill that burns spirit points and has element set to soul. So it can be blocked, and if it's a physical attack skill it can also be parried.

I still have infinite play on cake. I get wiped out pretty fast on normal and don't last two rounds on hard. I do arena on normal and I think the highest one is 7 rounds and I have to use 2-3 potions to get through it. I do the hourlys on hard and if the monsters are all high level it's difficult just to make it through the one round.

cake is the best way to make money and get items since you don't have to pay to heal, even though the quality is worse in general the quantity tends to make up for it.

@Tenb: 2 requests.

1. Can you make right-clicking equipment copy its stats to the clipboard or something similar?

2. Can you make a button to show everything under the Statistics scroll thingy show up on one page? Like this:
(IMG:[gannonman.com] http://gannonman.com/image/stat%20page_197749821.png)

I hate my current stats... just switched out all my heavy armor... I take so much damage now :\

It's what makes cake grindfest doable for several hundred rounds (given enough patience). So yes.

"Hard" pretty much the new "Normal". L2Adjust.

Monsters are scaled by lvl, so they hit proportionately as hard but lower lvl players don't have all the extra bonuses from auras or abilities that come at higher lvls.
In addition, low lvl gear has the same burden/interference as high lvl gear but it can't be offset with high proficiency.

And low lvls don't get as much access to good gear either because they either can't afford to buy it or they can't get as many arena drops due to either less access or the risk of losing is too high. Losing the arena Road less traveled is almost a days worth of credit grinding gone for someone my lvl.

1000c is like 30 mins of cakefest. I do it while watching tv (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Your probably right about the extra bonuses the high levels have and the better armor, I have a really hard time finding stuff that isn't shit quality.

I've an idea. How about putting numbers on the monsters HP, MP and SP? Also, can't items sell for half the amount that you'd buy them for? At the moment, I think they're about 4 or 5 times lower than the price you'd buy them for, but that may just be due to bad memory...

Oh yeah, If you have enough proficiency to outweigh the interference / burden, would it show as 0 on the equipment screen?

Thats like 100 rounds in cake, or do you mean selling drops as well? 100 cake rounds would take me a few hours at least.

I was thinking without selling infusions and stuff, shouldn't take that long to do 100 rounds. I'll start right now and time myself.

I'm just a typical warrior with heavy armor, abilities in overcharge boost and balanced stats.

edit: in 30 mins i did 81 rounds and made 697c before selling anything, so not as much as I predicted but not bad at all imo.

edit again: shield proficiency seems to level at less then half the speed as other stuff. Both my shield and one handed were around 3 when I switched from duel wield and now one hand is 10 and shield is 5. Recommend bumping shield gains up a little if it's not intentional.

100 rounds on cake takes less than an hour on a decent broadband connection. According to my HV Stats readout for my current session, I can go 106.16 Rnds/Hr and earn 1108.51 Crds/Hr. Selling scrolls and pots you pick up will be worth a couple hundred creds, and if you get any equips or infusions, those sell for even more.

Ahh...well I'm in Australia, not in a major city...there is a 1-2 second lag between clicking attack and it happening.
