Not sure if anyone posted this before but there is a bug about the proc flashing icon. Given not a major one but just weird.

I wasn't paying attention to the log but it looks like if your off-hand proc skills while it killed the monster, the icon won't go away.

Very true. There are as of right now 31,820 doujinshi on Galleries, dupes and multiple languages and all. I know for a fact that there are very many more doujinshi floating around than this. But of course if all you have is torrented and massively spread collections that "everybody" have, you might not be able to find anything. In which case it's always possible to put some effort into it, and and create some quality collections of particular characters/series/themes, some of the better ones of those packs are doing very well for themselves.

Considering Snowflake started dishing out items for the monthly top 7 placings last month, it's not impossible that I'll keep tweaking those rewards. But you probably can't choose to get something else *instead* of the EXP.

The trouble with giving something else than EXP for toplist positions is, that many people who don't like to do it, don't know how to do it, and don't care if it's done right will start doing it for the Credits/GP/whatever - and wrong galleries will be expunged, and wrong tags will be tagged, and people will form unofficial self-help groups to vote them up/expunged them for the points, no matter if they're supposed to be expunged or not. And people who have been doing it before there were any rewards will likely not be able to clean up after this.

About the millions of tags in the system - I'm guessing the majority of them would only be tagged once, on one gallery. And majority of them will be absolutely crap, unneccessary things no one will ever search for.

What if you could add a link to galleries somewhere, that, when clicked, would provide a list of some twenty randomly chosen tags, each of which is only tagged in one gallery? I don't know how hard it would be to get such information from database. For example, this gallery has only 2 tags: 'moron', and 'really only 3 pics', both of which only tag this one gallery. If the search chose those two, it would show:

moron
really only 3 pics

and when clicked, it would get me to the gallery page, where I could check if the tag makes any sort of sense, and possibly vote it down.

If people could access such page, possibly the amount of tags could be quickly brought down to more reasonable number?

That trouble is exactly why I mentioned the part about linking tags visibly to names (non-retroactive to save the hassle). This way people whom are abusing the system would be more readily identified and could be taken care of easier, which would help the system even in its current state. I don't think I have to mention how bad it can get when a 1 power user starts typing in random combinations of letters and numbers, or tagging it with a series that's completely off base (such as tagging, say, an Ichigo Marshmallow doujin with Gurren Lagann).

Anyway, other the my gear now being total crap for stats the update was rather good, hopefully the proficiency helps increase it a bit though, since even at ~33/46 my leather armor is hardly seeing any dramatic increases (though they are only barely noticeable). I'm guessing the stat point gains such as dex and agi are also affected by proficiency as well.

Edit: Also, aside from the whole credit change thing there's only one thing that I dislike about this patch (yay for my shield about to last 20 turns and absorb 12 damage) and that would be the mana second winds. It's not so much the value, as that one was the one that was off cause it measured the valued differently than the hp one, but more the frequency. It was bad enough before that almost all my second winds were hp...but with hp being even more frequent I can't do cakefest as much....that said that'll change once I get absorb. I was one of the "lucky" few that actually trained supportive instead of just tank with heavy armor and cure~

Ahhh I've been looking forward to doing my arena's for the equipment but I did the first 10 and got nothing, even with the first few on nightmare, and then heroic etc, and with my 9 levels in scavenger 3 in luck of the draw 3 in quartermaster(+%15) and 1 in archi.


Damn statistics.

Should I do #11? I'm really not sure if it'd make it, it's a big jump in difficulty.

Before E-H I sleep 10-12 hours/day, 6 when I've to go to work;
now... 7-8 hours/day if I'm lucky, but if I've to go to work I sleep only 3-4 hours...

Combat is much tougher, but I basically wasn't taking damage before except from crits and spells so this is balanced.

Is there any benefit to wielding 2-handed weapons? The multi-enemy hit doesn't trigger that often, and doesn't trigger at all if there is a corpse between targets.

Looking at only single-use or rare tags would probably still be tough to weed through, since some of the most useful tags are for alternate artist/circle names.

Well, there are about.. 42320 unique tags in the system. Of those, 24642 have only been tagged once.

The database isn't really indexed to provide that kind of lookups (crunching the query for the numbers above took about a minute), and I don't think the tradeoff in additional update cost and index space requirements would be offset by the value it would provide.

Actually the frequency change was reverted some time yesterday, I just didn't revise the patch notes. It still uses base vitals though.

Good morning all, well I've confermed that you can train & do a montage. Started training then montage & both were done this morning (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
@ Tenboro, does montage cooldown block hourly battles? When I logged on to the gallery page, the hourly was blocked by montage, even though the montage was actually finished and the cooldown had started.

Like with training, you're still technically in a montage until you visit the Montage page again, it just uses some trickery to backdate the start of the cooldown.
