I was always low on Credits. I updated my notes about Aura effects and this made me weep. So I can only hope of equipment drop.

Even if I am not that happy with this new update. I only hope "The Next Big Thing." Will help about in making things a little more balanced.

Any chance of getting AL reset again? With the reduced training costs from the Hath credit perks that's a fair amount of credits I could have saved since I have had the hath credit perks for a while now.

I understand, but the bonuses I got to STR and END literally were cut in half. It's just a bit of a shock is all, because like I said, monsters do damage again to me on Normal. Scary Ghosts and Cockatrices are actual threats again. And I'm not sure whether to cheer or scream.

Hey Tenboro, do you put your flak jacket on before posting these updates? I love reading these update threads because of the myriad complaints and grumblings about nearly every change. Just yesterday, before the update, I strolled through all of the arena fights my level allowed and barely got scratched. It's not supposed to be that easy. From my perspective the game feels "normal" now. I'm no longer super-powered, but my clever strategy of buying armor with good stats has allowed me to keep up with the monsters. I grew up playing the old Dragon Warrior/Quest games, so I don't see the fun if there's no element of challenge. Anybody remember the first Final Fantasy? That was hard. Grindfest on normal is nothing, and we don't lose half our credits when we die. Also, I WANT the extra monster slot! More monsters = more fun!

I think most of the complaints are about the destruction of credit bonuses. That, in its own way, makes things much more difficult than simply making the enemies harder. Losing an arena challenge now isn't just a reduction on the credits you earn that day, it can put you in the hole for days. I'm not going to try some of the higher arena challenges because it is not worth the risk. If I lose, it will take me days to get back up, and winning does not carry that much of a reward. I'm not going to complain, because I'm just numb to the HV right now. I honestly wonder whether I will ever be able to accumulate enough credits to train another level of ability boost just off credits I earn in the HV and not through selling hath or converting GP. That freaking hurts.

well considering i never even used the credit bonus im only out by 200 a day but tenb increased the selling prises for infusions so i make 200 credits from those and thats my main money maker im a pure hack and slash i dont need infusions so i made more money today then i did yesterday

It seems everyone posting here complains it's getting harder and harder, so I have to say the update didn't make things harder for me. I'm doing my hourlies on Hell now, and was doing them on Nightmare before.

i also agree, i making about 15c a battle on grindfest and
25c in my hourly battle and thats more than i used to make
as for being harder, ive always love the challenge

Not really. Dumb arguments I just ignore, insightful comments usually get incorporated in some way or noted for future addition. I rarely rip stuff out or make severe changes unless I have a very good reason - monsters on Normal hitting for 0 points being a good reason, being able to virtually print money being an even better one. Seeing as I actually did the math on the scaling and playtested on most level ranges with average armor, I knew the game wasn't actually too hard, but that doesn't mean that it should be a cakewalk either.

I love the changes heh
The one thing i'd love to see in this update was a shop indicator for new items compared to the old list, but maybe next one ^^
Nonetheless. pro update. will check out the montage thing but i agree with the credit drain sort of ^^

I had an adjusted rate of something like 12 when the GP rate was 21 (I'm estimating. It has been awhile since I checked), so yeah, dropping it did not help me very much. Maybe Penny pincher is just as good. I haven't decided on that yet, but you cannot say that the Auras (Black, White, and Rainbow) are just as good. The reason I originally got them (back before they were nerfed the first time) is because of the credit bonus. That made it reasonable to expect to a positive return on the investment. Now, not so much. Anyway, don't mind my complaining. Hell, I'm not actually complaining. I'm just explaining how much that change hurts. I don't expect you to reverse it because you had to know what was going to happen after you made the change thus hearing about what you expected is nothing new. Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that you are using this site to conduct psychological experiments on the members; you want to see how much we will put up with before we say that enough is enough. More power to you if that is the case. Edit: If I was to complain about something, I would complain about the hit rate. I'd like it upped by about 5% for us. I swear I miss too much and I'm not just talking about those times you miss 5 times in a row. But, I can and do survive as it is. It is just a little annoying. Edit 2: A question, does running the montage mess with the daily bonus thing triggering? I hear that it stops hourlies, but I haven't tried it to test out. I know it is designed to push the button then come back 8 hours later, but I am just as likely to push it now, come back for a minute to trigger the bonus today, then come back tomorrow morning and do arena challenges and an hourly battle I would not get else wise. Boggy, if you barebone the site, what do you have left ? Like seriously, take away all the things like HV, credits, the forum etc... what do you have left ?
-GP -The galleries.
Thats it. Those 2 work perfectly. everything else is just added fun. Note: Fun. the actual important part of the site remains untouched for the most part :3.
