Don't do this, especially for high-value items, especially when you're trying to figure out someone's maximum proxy bid. blackjac00 isn't happy with it, and neither am I; it makes people less sure of whether your bids are serious or not, which is unfair for the proxy bidder and for the item seller. (that's the sort of thing that can lead to getting blacklisted)
