You could edit the 309m bid to cancel it too after blackjac00 canceled. But now the bid has done.
If the bids rolls back, it will be unfair if there is possible bidder gave up at 300m.

Sorry, I thought it was over and was away for a bit. Waifu Maniac's last (unnecessary) bid was at 14:35 and no one interested posted after him (until 15:25), so I didn't think there was anything wrong with ending it and forgiving the unnecessary bid.

Well, OK, if that really seems unfair, then I'll put it back so his ending bid is 309m instead, as it was originally, no one bid after that within the time limit

As I see WM placed his bid 2min after BJ bid and later BJ edited his post. If he intended to not fight why WM have to outbid himself. It is not make sense. I think the end time it's rush ppl may not see correctly. Especially an edited post it need to refresh page to see it. It hardly to see you know unless he cancel his bid in the new post. Who will look back to an old post?
