The point of having the price shown is exactly to have an immediate understanding of the value of the item without having to do searchs or infinite clicks (expecially if a lot of equipment are shown).
For the salvage formula is quite simple, is all on the
wiki:
- Salvaging yields between 1 and 50 scrap per equipment depending on its sale value. This scales such that it is always more economical to salvage for scrap rather than sell the equipment in order to buy the same amount of scrap from the bazaar.
-- For equipment of Average quality or lower, Scrap is given with the following formula: roundup(sale_value / 100); e.g. if the equipment's sale value was 101 a player would receive 2 scrap.
-- For equipment of Superior quality or higher, you get one graded material (see below), and a quantity of scrap equal to roundup(sale_value / 500).
--- The number of energy cell that can be salvaged from gear is linearly random between 10% and 100% of the salvaged scrap, but always at least 1.
---- Salvaging equipment with upgrades will always return 90% of the materials spent on upgrading rounded down (but never any catalysts).
So, Crude\Fair\Average equipment give 1 scrap each 100C (101C = 2 Scraps and so on up to 50 scraps).
Superior equipment give 1 Low-Grade + 1 scrap each 500 C (501C = 1 Low + 2 Scraps and so on up to 50 scraps).
Exquisite equipment give 1 Mid-Grade + 1 scrap each 500 C (501C = 1 Mid + 2 Scraps and so on up to 50 scraps).
Magnificent\Legendary\Peerless equipment give 1 High-Grade + 1 scrap each 500 C (501C = 1 High + 2 Scraps and so on up to 50 scraps).
For Force\Phase\Shade\Power 1 Energy Cell must be added (only one cause it is the minimum, you can get as much as the total amount of scraps but is all about luck).
So it is easy to know how much material you get and making an addition with the price you gave them you get you're personal salvage value.
