I was about to report it as a bug. That looks absolutely awful. I was just getting used to the flashy things and now this. If you're going to make it look like that, do we even need that window at all? It already says all that stuff in the battle log. Why don't you make the font in the log bigger and cooler looking and maybe in a different color when we win and just have it say You Are Victorious in the upper right side above the monsters? It'll save space and it won't look so annoying.


Or just put it back the way it was. Yikes.

@Tenseigamoon I actually don't mind that "popup" style notification. Though maybe the look of it could change to please the hardcore "text-only" fans.

Unfortunately, I can see everything you post. Your problem is you just have nothing interesting to say.

And I was just being honest. The graphic really did look OK before. And for what it's worth, with the recent changes to the system, I can actually kick ass in HV now. I can't cast any magic attacks so I have to fight Warrior style but I'm winning at it much better now and it's pretty cool.

@Tenb: You never commented on the procs of offhand weapons. Can you make them have a chance of working? It's not like offhands hit all that often anyway, so the chance of the effect working isn't all that high.

what is your current evasion rate

cause you should have one higher then 10% which means the monsters you are fighting should also have a higher evasion rate then 10%

my 10% evasion rate is at 50 lvls lower than you so yours should be higher

Not happy about seeing a pop up every round obtrusively breaking the flow of combat. If it has to pop up I'd move it back over to it's original spot over the monsters. I think it's just that it pops up every round in the center is throwing me off, I'd handle it better if it were off in it's original area.

Fuck, you're right, wasn't thinking. My evade is 19%. On that note, we don't actually know what mobs evade rate is do we? And even if it's the same as ours, I should still have a 91% hit chance, meaning 1/10 attacks miss, but I'm definitely missing more than that.

damn... it looks like exp from grindfest was cutted duwn at least by half and possibility of 2nd wind reduced too...
that decrease my exp gain at least by 4 times(

as i've noticed if your stat bild is flat(eg i rise all stats by the same value) your att.ch.-ev.ch. will always equial 75% so your-level-monsters usually should have at least 25% chance to evade if you don't use any weapon


edit: funny... after that post i've got 13 2ndwinds in a row...

Yea, forgot to mention the whole 10% thing was a place holder, since it seems about average in terms of where their evasion starts around. I'd say as a rule of thumb to determine an average (unless ten straight out tells us) is add 1% evasion per 10 levels. It might not be accurate, but it's better than a complete shoot in the dark.

It's been said in lots of places, so please don't spam up this thread with questions about it, since it has nothing to do with HV. If I remember correctly the increase is logarithmic, and I believe Sonic's calculator can tell you the specifics.
