Got these two staffs, i don't know if they're any good for anyone trying to start mage, and you haven't specified that these should be with prefix. Both HGW?
I assume they are, since you ignored these. Could've said.

1) You still haven't answered why shortswords accepted and clubs not? (The more i try to understand meta the more i realize that i have no clue about whats going on, so i really want to know).

2) You did answer second one, but that was not exactly what i asked: why you don't take Exquisite Power of Slaughter below lvl 250, since its written that you're full of em (about exq power overall) and there is not a single slaughter piece? I'd suggest distinguishing between slaughter an everything else, but thats just my opinion. As for lvl. 250-300 exq slaughter, i dont really agree with you about magnificent power being both less expensive and more efficient, as for more common, well, you're right: it appears its super hard to find anything good on forums (and much more simple in bazaar, lol, and in huuge quantities, even if taking into account only those that have better adb than peerless non-slaughter).

3) Speaking of magnificent power, why no love for warding?

1) Absolutely no one buys clubs, axes or wakizashis. Shortswods are the second preferred weapon to use after rapiers. The reason is simple: because after rapiers, shortswords fit the 1H playstyle the most. Basically, shortswords have the same parry than rapiers, a higher ADB, but proc Bleeding Wound instead of Penetrated Armor.

2) I merely forgot to remove that line in "unwanted". Any Mag Power is better than Exq Power of Slaughter because it allows one to survive at higher difficulties and have a higher ADB if we don't take the suffix into account. Yes, Exq Power of Slaughter does provide a higher ADB overall, but what is it for, if you can't play a difficulty as high as what Mag Power allows you to? I will probably give it a try at allowing Exq Power of Slaughter Lvl300-350 to see if they go away in auctions, but I seriously doubt they will.

3) Because buffing PMit is way better than buffing MMit, as most monster attacks are physical. Though in a full mitigation set, having 1-2 Warding for 4-3 Protection remains a good idea. Protection is better, Slaughter is very rare, balance is rare, Warding is very common => everything leads to Warding being unwanted.
