QUOTE(Maximum_Joe @ Apr 20 2013, 17:02) (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/oC0Gq.gif) So what order are the search results in then? are they just random? This feature would make the site a lot better?

They are sorted after date in the list mode. In thumbnail mode galleries are foremost sorted after thumbnail height, trying to keep each entry on a row equal in height, date is secondary.

You have to increase your mod power.

QUOTE(Apocalypse Horsemen @ Apr 20 2013, 03:08) Perhaps a major cleanup is in order then? Perhaps a mod can generate a list of the torrents?
I hope not. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Some torrents still have valuable material. This post has been edited by Satoshi。。。: Apr 21 2013, 13:49

That's way too much work just to create more work.

Please add some way to filter our favorite search results by category (i.e, doujinshi, manga, image sets, etc).
If we can do that in main galleries, then we should be able to do that in our favorites.
UPDATE: Another idea, after getting a search result, would it be possible to implement the ability to go to the next entry in the search result instead of having to go back to the search page and then selecting the next entry to visit? Much similar to how it works for danbooru v2; you can go to the previous or next search result in the current page.

Um. Might I suggest optimizing everything on the static content servers?

QUOTE(fyxie @ May 25 2013, 02:38) I made some icons with 8bit transparency. File size is slightly bigger, but look good against any background. They are all in the attached zip file. Hmm. Thanks, I've been meaning to revise those, so I'll probably end up using them. Have some hath.

I just thought of something.
I've enjoyed the fact that once a gallery's favorited, I could go straight to favorite settings for the favorited gallery from search result window (as opposed to having to go the gallery page, THEN open favorite settings window from there), but there isn't a way to do the same for a gallery that HASN'T been favorited yet. Sometimes I see 3-4 galleries in a single result page that I'd like to favorite, but I'd have to go each gallery individually in order to favorite them.
So how about it? Seeing how favorite diamond tags are already added to search result pages if a gallery's favorited, why not make a default empty diamond for us to click on to bring up the favorite setting window for a non-favorite gallery?

I've been using this site for ages and love the tagging system. I honestly haven't read the 50 pages previous to this one on the feature requests, so I don't know if there is much related to this.
Feature improvement: I've been thinking how nice it would be to implement tagging per image so as you go along and see something tag worthy you could enter it. This per image tagging would appear at the very bottom of page and would be the normal text field for tagging. I do understand that tags are meant for typically a majority of the content ex. should contain x number or % of pictures before being tagged with subject matter. For that you could implement low power tags or something along the lines that make it visible to users to vote up or down but not searchable until a certain levels. This could be all the change if you wanted to keep it like that or in addition you could make it so each page tagged can be found by clicking on the tag and having it list all the pages that tag has been found in that particular gallery ex. pages 23, 204, 1043 I'm also thinking it would help the tagging stem be able to say yes this tag appears on all of these pages there for is more or less valid. Reason: Allows users to find content they're looking for faster especially in galleries with 100's of pictures. Doing it this way also gives every user going along a better incentive to tag that pages items and lets those reviewing tags the ability to find what page(s) tags came from to find tags that are untrue or that since every most pages contain tagged item that it should be voted up.
I wanted to get other peoples feedback on this specifically the Almighty Tenboro who's hard work has made this site what it is Thanks..
Sorry about this long dribbling feature request

Been asked for a million times. Not a shot. No one will put in the time to do it let alone check it.

Like Super Mew says, it has been suggested before. And yeah, it's way too much detail.
Rather, I've always liked an idea that's sort of a compromise on that, where you could tag a range of images. The easiest example would be if you could separately tag each chapter/story in a tank or magazine. That would be a beautiful thing, for a couple of reasons. One perhaps easy way of accomplishing that example could be by somehow having sub-galleries for a gallery. That still may not be the easiest thing to implement, but at least it's a fairly easy concept to grasp for the end-user. (That could probably also - perhaps with some slight modification - be used to tag a range smaller than/within a chapter, or else something that's not strictly a chapter, like for Game CGs. That would be ideal IMO, but even only being able to tag individual chapters of a large gallery separately would be a big plus.)

This can still be done somewhat via gallery commenting (as some people have done).

That's not searchable. Certainly not via the Galleries systems. (Similarly, it's not controlled and it's only alterable by a single person.) And ideally, there would be some further sorts of search flags set up so you could find any gallery that has a sub-gallery with X, Y, and Z. (Possibly, you'd just be able to search sub-galleries directly.) I.e., I want a story with a teacher having anal sex, not a gallery that has a teacher having vaginal sex in one story and a maid having anal sex in another. This is the biggest weakness of tagging/searching currently. Sure, it's still possible to get false positives within a chapter, but the probability for that is much smaller than when you're looking at a whole tank or magazine. Google crawls them.
