Once again, another suggestion/request about torrents.
This "shadows_kami" guy: He's been posted duplicate torrents for galleries after less than 3 or 4 weeks after a torrent had been added for it. That's just ridiculous.
See, most of the torrent uploaders have something of a... "silent agreement" if you will. That is, we leave galleries alone after torrents have been uploaded for them until a few months afterwards.
This guy just completely ignores that whole idea. It's fucking stupid and it fucking pisses me off.
And I'm not even complaining about only the galleries I've made torrents for; he's doing it to incredibly recent galleries with torrents made by Robot_X, viviv, eyelezz, recall8780... Just most of the current big torrent uploaders really.
This kind of abuse is the entire reason I'm asking for something to be done about it.
And yes, I'm "guilty" of that as well; However, the only reason I'm doing it now is because he's doing it.

Awesome attitude you have there.

I wouldn't be doing it now if it weren't for the fact that he's doing it constantly. Even I can't keep up with him currently. Again, the fact that it's even possible that the torrent system can be abused to this extent is crazy. Just as an example: https://e-hentai.org/g/536740/3847548c87/https://e-hentai.org/g/536737/79229717c9/https://e-hentai.org/g/536571/8e200e8629/These 3 galleries were uploaded less than a month ago. He posted torrents to them less than a month after the first original torrent was posted to them. This post has been edited by Drksrpnt: Nov 25 2012, 18:27

Ok. Let me put it differently. With those features, is it supposed to be possible to go to the galleries main page and not see (for example) any Chinese galleries?

They have to be tagged then the cache has to update, so for the front page, no.

For the torrent suggestion I made, I didn't mean "ban him from making torrents", I meant "do the thing I suggested a couple pages back." That is, make it impossible to post new torrents for galleries until after a few months have passed, OR until the gallery has been updated.
I guess I should have elaborated on that more.

Except there are plenty of legitimate reasons why you would want to add another torrent to a gallery.

I already stated them when you first brought this up. Different content, different resolutions, etc. Maybe the original uploader used the torrent only to publish an extra HQ version (600dpi and such) and someone else then adds a torrent for the smaller sized files the gallery uses. Or the audio cd example I gave. And so on and so forth.

Okay, and I'm pretty sure I brought this up as well: The uploader can put his own torrent, which would prevent anyone else from adding a new torrent. As for different content/resolutions, why wouldn't they just make a gallery then? How about something like a restriction on torrent sizes. That is, if a gallery has a torrent which is ~100MB, a new torrent can't be posted unless it is 5MB larger or smaller than that torrent, OR it is x months after the original torrent. I don't know, I'm just brainstorming here. In any case, that's all for the original torrents. The additional torrents that are being added are the problem here.

Hopefully this is the correct place to mention this.
Would like to seea censorship category added: "censored" (source censored), "uncensored" (source not censored), "decensored" (original censor drawn uncensored by editor), will be the flags of this category
My use would be to filter out "decensored" galleries.

We don't make any distinction between the 2 through the tagging system so this part isn't feasible. The rest should be though.

I really do wish the 10-seconds-to-tag-timer could be modified somehow. I try to tag languages quickly for the filtering system, and it sure doesn't take me ten seconds to recognize Korean.

Also, there are quite a number of galleries with under 100 power on language tags (69 seems to be a common number for the 1700+ spanish galleries that aren't filtered). Perhaps 100 is a bit too high a threshold for language filtering? There was never any need to get language tags rated that high until now.
Then again, a few of us could just go through and upvote the language tags. It wouldn't take more than a few months of constant work.

Would be great if ranking page always displayed your current rank in each category in addition to top rankers. Or at least let you search for yourself.

Please add a time limit option to the bounty system. I'll explain: The poster sets a time limit (several weeks or even months) If the bounty is accepted, the one who accepted it must claim it before the time limit or it will be considered free again. Of course, the poster can "add" some time to a specific hunter.
I think it would be a good addition because some users accept bounties, and then disappear, which leaves the bounty "accepted".

It already does that.

I suggest adding tooltips for gallery thumbnails in thumbnail mode, showing the gallery name. Yes, I know the gallery name is displayed right above the picture but if the name is long. a part of it will be hidden by the thumbnail. This addition will be very useful for scanning metadata suffixes in the gallery title such as "incomplete" or "preview" or "Chapter 1,4,5,8" without having to open the gallery.

Yes please. Language is usually put on the end of the name and it is cutoff too often

An option to include galleries that have been deleted by the uploader in a search.
