Is it possible for the system to send you an email or PM when someone imbues you with karma? It would be great to know when they do so they can be thanked quickly.

Ok. That link just shows me who gave me Karma, it doesn't PM me or notify me when someone does it unless I visit that page frequently while visiting. Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear in my original post. My bad.

Is there a good reason for the "Go To Gallery" links in the [gu.e-hentai.org] galleries manager to open the galleries in a particular tab/window (i.e., not the current one, most of the time), or can we get rid of that behavior, so that it's up to the user to choose where to open the galleries (current tab/new tab/new window) ?

I demand bounties to be tagable by the bounty backers and searchable by bounty hunters.

Extensions such as TabMix Plus will let you choose and won't interfere with the site.

when i discover this website i really like it and made my day... Should we really make a limit to reading a day??? it is just reading and sometime just looking at picture. we should not be penalize for it. It not like I'm downloading it. I really like this website where i can just read. i don't believe i should be penalize for it >.<

Alright, torrent suggestion/request:

Recently, certain people have been posting torrents onto galleries that already have fairly well-seeded torrents. My suggestion is: A new torrent can only be posted to a gallery if the previous torrent has had fewer than 10 (or whatever number) seeds for at least one month. It should (somewhat) prevent blatant torrent-posting abuse, as seen by Robot_X, eyelezz, and hell, even me at some points.

In any case, it just really annoys me when people post torrents to galleries that have well-seeded torrents, just for the extra points. If a torrent hasn't been seeded, or has been poorly seeded, I can understand it... But besides that, it's just extremely bad-mannered in my opinion.

Edit to add: Of course, this would also prevent adding torrents to new galleries that have had torrents posted to them recently. It would allow more than just the... "monopolizers" of torrents to get a fairly good score, not to mention the GP it generates.

Support for the above mentioned idea. This has been going on for quite some time so I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned earlier.

The EHTracker toplist reflects this perfectly. When there is a shortage of newly uploaded stuff, pretty much everyone in the TOP10 keeps their position by creating duplicate torrents for older galleries with unseeded ones.

So far this was limited to old galleries but this would help to prevent the problem from expanding and leading to a situation where we would have 5 same torrents for a single gallery within a week.

Also a limit of 1 torrent for new galleries would help to avoid situations where we'd have a duplicate that was uploaded just a minute after the first one, and give a certain advantage to those that were faster.


It's just a matter of time before this field will require some tweaks and updates in one way or another.

Also, make it impossible to post torrents on Expunged galleries (although if one was posted before it was expunged, it still counts).

And one more thing: the torrents for "Removed" galleries (That is, all the non-h manga torrents that were uploaded before the non-h ban) should all just be nuked. There's no way to actually remove them through expunging now because of the "Gallery is no longer available" message, but being able to actually just outright remove them completely would be great.

Yeah, I was going to add something like that. "If a gallery has been recently updated, exactly one torrent may be added to it per update. If a torrent has been added to it after the most recent update, another torrent cannot be posted to it until the next update, if there even is one."

That would fix it for manga tank chapter updates, alternative scans, etc.

Edit to add: Oh, how about a gallery setting for torrents? Something like "Do you want other users to be able to post torrents on this gallery?"

So in the case of certain people (including me) who post torrents onto their own galleries, only the gallery owner's torrent can ever be posted to it. Dunno how viable this option would be, or if it's even possible, but... Eh. It's just a suggestion/request, that's all.

There are so many things that can be improved/fixed as far as torrents go, and the first issue I brought up in the original post is the most important one; everything else can come after.

And I know Tenboro isn't opposed to the idea of doing anything that has to do with torrents; last year he added the "3 months with 0 seeds = removed" thing, so I know it's possible for a lot of these things to be implemented.
