Ten, we are having a growing problem with re-renames - cases where we have to re-rename a gallery we renamed once before.

The problem is several fold, based on the fact that once a name is over 100%, it will stay there and hide all others that may also be above 100% from others, thus making it difficult for them to know there is a rename in progress. Also, some of those scores are way above 100%, I've seen some close to 300%, and bypassing them is difficult.

There is a simple solution that I hope you can implement as easily as you did with the SOCOM scripts and removing week-old votes.

First of all, all rename votes that are over 100% should be (every week?) cut down to 100%. Before that script runs, a different script should check for galleries with 2 or more names at 100%, and kill all but the strongest ones.

This may screw a few current rerenames the first time you run it, but it should kill the problem in the future.

Can we get a "default search" sort of thing for the gallery front page? For example, whenever I go to g.e-hentai.org, I want it to automatically search for the term "english", in addition to selecting which category to search in. In which to search.

I don't bookmark things I don't want my roommate to see, for both my and his sake.

A "Mark All" button in the favorite tab would be nice. Right now, if you want to take an action with (for instance changing color, deleting and such) you have to click all galleries seperatly.

Always ask for categories when searching

This is a small annoyance that is probably not too hard to fix: When you go to do an image search or an uploader search, categories are ignored. Because I have my base categories set to only doujinshi and manga, I nearly always have to search at least twice.

Additionally, when searching for an uploader, the results should appear with advanced options expanded and gallery name and tags unchecked. I have often changed categories quickly, ending up with doing a basic search for the uploader's name. Leaving gallery name and tags unchecked shouldn't require much elaboration.

Forum: Avatar control

This is a forum request which I didn't feel the need to create a whole new thread for. People don't get the point of avatars, and put all sort of silly animations and things in there. Currently, Wolverine_420 apparently uses some link that generates a random image, quite often a .gif larger than 500 kB. Not that it's a huge problem for me, but it's not the point. Avatars exist as part of someone's persona, not for entertainment.

I propose that when someone sets or changes their avatar, do a one-time check to verify that it's an image, not abusively large and preferably not a gif, bound to be animated. I know this doesn't prevent URL crafting (swapping the image), but at least it would get a message across.

There are some limitations in place, but nothing so harsh. Why not block the images that you deem to big to need on your side?

Can't you just report bad sigs/avatars as per the forum rules anyhow?

Okay, not all gifs are bad, but it's pretty much only gifs that can be distracting and excessively large at 100px. Gifs that stay within the limitations aren't really big enough to be distracting. Reporting or blocking them on my end wouldn't be needed if there's a one-time check involved when it's set.

It's not that I don't want to see avatars, and size isn't much of a problem on my end. I just don't care for distracting animations when I'm trying to read a post. It's as bad as those epilepsy ads.

Hath Perk: Tag Flagging
It would be nice if a gallery that has more than one type of tag flag would display them all instead of just showing one, at the moment for me anyway the bad tag flag seems to take dominance, which is a pain, if anything I'd prefer only the good flag shown but showing them all would be best

What about a common tag to pin down an original scan, without all the translations?

Every time the search for a certain manga is nearly hard (for me :/).
Negative tags (don't know how are called) have a maximum number.
I see "Tag Flagging" Perks, problem is not every translated manga has "translated" tag or his actual language tagged. There are always some translated entries in the results, so sometimes is useless.

Can't set 3434 tag for a search, and japanese is not a tag. :<

It probably should be an "active" tag or some sort of way to highlight a manga that has its native language (or a better system to discard translated ones).
