Bug report: renaming system does not distinguish between lower and upper case name, preventing fixing capitalization problems. This happens when there is a petition and you try to submit another one with no changes but capitalization.

It would be nice if we could have a gallery description "signature" - a piece of text that could be set to appear in all our galleries (or even better, all galleries in a certain folder).

Also, if you are an owner of a gallery, it would be nice if there was a link in each gallery you could use to get to this gallery modification screen without having to go through the maintenance page (particularly because when you have hundreds of galleries, finding the right one takes time, even with folders/browser search).

Also, some improvements to the hath auction procedure in addition to the ones I mentioned earlier:
* listing of your auctions sold in the past 24h (if I post a 4h auction for GP before I go to sleep, there is no way for me to know if it has sold, or for how much when I wake up, usually)
* this is for the stat geeks: a graph of the average hath values for the past auctions would be cool (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

How about an option to view thumbnails at a larger size, like 2x? My eyesight is too poor to see clearly at the current size & my computer is too slow for me to browse a gallery a page at a time.

Fuck yeah! It takes 2-3 minutes for a page to load on this brick. So larger thumbnails would save me several hours a day. Plus there is the idiots who load double pages in their gallery. Those thumbnails are intangible!

Also I might add, the forum search sucks! I could only find this thread a couple days after posting through my SAfari Browser history!

Also the tag removal that top members indulge in is tiresome. For example,if you post an incest tag because 1 out of 8 chapters of a gallery features Incest, they still remove it. Does that make sense? Of course not.

Anyhow, my screen only shows the thumbnails at about .5 X .75 inch can't make out any details. but I guess you have a 52 inch plasma HDTV monitor for your Windows 7-liquid-nitrogen-cooled-superconduting-nuclear-powered God Computer.

I mean, what you're asking already exists. You didn't notice the Normal/Large thumbnail toggle on the gallery page? You just need to unlock it.

If just one story of a manga gallery is incest-focused, it is reason enough for incest tag, and it shouldn't be removed in such situations. If you have specific examples of such tag removals, post them in 'tagging and its abuse' thread.

I have two new suggestions:

We currently have two options when it comes to hourly encounters (HentaiVerse and 'legacy'). Could there also be a setting to disable these encounters completely while still getting dawn events?

A new feature that could be purchased as a Hath perk: Hovering the cursor over a thumbnail on the gallery page could pop up a preview of the image on the page to which it links. I imagine this would be very useful for taggers.

I've got 2 requests:

• Don't check the "Search Gallery Name" and "Search Gallery Tags" checkboxes in searches made through the /uploader/ path (this kind of searches if I'm not clear). I don't think there's a reason for those checkboxes to be checked, while I always have to uncheck them if I want to filter the search results in that case.
• Add a way to know if a gallery has new comment(s) in the [gu.e-hentai.org] uploaded galleries manager. A new column which displays the number of comments for each gallery could be a good start, but if the style of that number could change to indicate that a new comment has been posted or a previous comment has been updated since the last time the uploader went to the gallery page, it would be perfect (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

1) The hath perks "The Big Picture", "Thumbs Up" and "All Thumbs" all seemed to come with the gold star but they don't show as obtained on the hath perks screen. It's just a small bug, but since they're not listed as obtained I end up reading the description every time I look for perks to spend my hath on.

2) This one's a bit pedantic, but I feel it's important. The "offensive to everyone" message is far more offensive than the galleries themselves and every time I see it I think "who the are you to tell me what I should find offensive?!" The message "offensive to everyone" implies that if you don't find the gallery offensive you're nobody (i.e. you're inhuman/subhuman). I personally have no interest in guro but to me it's just some drawings that I don't find offensive in the least, and classifying people who don't find such images offensive as inhuman scum is far worse. Once you start telling people what they should find offensive you begin down a slippery slope and next it'll be loli, bestiality, fury and then sex and nudity and then everything. If the "offensive to everyone" message is only used for guro why not just say "this gallery contains images of extreme violence of a sexual nature" since this is more accurate, more informative, less judgemental and less insulting. If "offensive to everyone" is used for more than just guro then something like "this gallery is potentially highly offensive to certain individuals" would be better.

3) Add a language attribute to the galleries. Most users are likely only interested in manga that is in Japanese and their native language, but as things stand stand 25-50% of the entries in the manga category/search results are in other languages, and thus of no interest to the user. For a non-English speaker the proportion of irrelevant results rises further, and for somebody who only speaks Japanese the proportion would be higher still. I'm sure you'd agree that showing users a higher proportion of irrelevant search results is not a a good thing, so why not resolve it with a language attribute? If you then added a setting that allowed the user to select languages the wanted to see it would vastly cut down the number of irrelevant search results, and thus significantly improve the user experience. It would also cut down on the number of unnecessary thumbnail loads in the search results, since thumbnails for galleries the user is not interested in would no longer be loaded.

Gold star and that hath perks can be combined to further increase thumbnail count up to 40 rows. It's just misleading description of perks.

I always wondered how 40 rows was obtained, since the option was there but I could never see how to make it available. Thanks for clearing that up.

I don't think the text in that notice is supposed to be taken completely seriously, but rather to make a little fun of those who are overly sensitive to ero guro. The thought that it could be insulting hasn't crossed my mind.
