Would it be possible to generate a listing of galleries with started but unfinished rename votes?

Sorry if this is a stupid/useless post. When in the galleries and I've finished reading a manga I can click one of the tags and look for galleries with that thread, or something like that. It would be nice to be able to select more than one tag. That's all.....its to do with galleries and searching, so I just thought.

I'm a little new here and may be over stepping my boundaries but,

has anyone suggested an improvement to tagging?

like for example, since I can't really think of anything else at the moment, the tag "MIZU".

Now let's say I'm looking for the pining for the fjords artist MIZU... instead of showing just his/her works, it shows other non-related stuff as well that stretches out to more than 4/5 pages (ex.: 1 of 275 results)... and most of those only showed up because it had the word Mizu-- attached to it...

and some uploaders don't even tag it with the artist's name after uploading cause the artists name is already in the gallery title... w/c doesn't help with the advanced options in searching 'cause some galleries of his/her works only show up in gallery tags, and some in gallery names.

TL;DR: can we tag such as MIZU(Artist) or MIZU_(Artist) like the way they do it over at danbooru/gelbooru? to make searches more accurate?

and has this been said yet? I didn't read the older posts... if so, my bad, I'll remove this or something.

But this precise tag search, how does it work exactly? can you do it through advanced search options? cause I tried it and it didn't work. or do you always have to do it url-wise and enter it in the address bar? If so how do you do it using multiple tags? can you give an example?

Also, does it have a precise gallery search equivalent?

Url-wise only, no multiple tags. As for gallery search, if you choose to search only by gallery names in Advanced Search Options, I think it should search for exact substrings. Not sure about that though.

yeah, but what I mean is,

for someone like me who likes to archive/collect things(dunno the OCD name for it), it would be easier to archive the works if it all appeared at once thru one search.

In my previous example on searching for the artist MIZU, if you search that and select only Search Gallery Names, everything else with the word "mizu" comes up... i.e. yoshimizu, mizurashi, etc. So alot would come up and the results pages add up to more than 29 pages... and it's a hassle searching thru all that just for a few collected works.

thats why I suggested tagging artists via name(Artist). Not saying we do it like gelbooru/danbooru for everything, just the ones that are hard to search for or messes up cause of search parameter limitations. The Artist "Elf.K" also...

your first suggestion was a great alternative though. Also, are the fjords down? whenever I last visited, all there was, was a white page and a small pic of a crying panda with a rose behind him... odd.

Another thing, I searched for "Royal Koyanagi" and "Miyabi Tsuzuru" 3 times on the main site, a page comes up saying "TAG SEARCH OVER LIMIT"?

You might learn then that you could do searches like "mizu -?mizu -mizu?" to eliminate everything that had additional characters before or after 'mizu'. And lots of other things.

When renaming galleries, sometimes people make mistakes - and sometimes we come up with a better name. Either way, there are galleries with a bunch of abandoned 0% renamed petitions. It would be nice if you could delete your own 0% petition if you have made an error, or if the system would just delete them after few weeks of inactivity.

And I'll again repeat my suggestion that it would be nice to get a listing of galleries that haven't been fully voted up to 100% in renames - I think there are hundreds of galleries like that out there, and it would be nice to finish (renaming) them.

right... I did. I'm new to this, so I didn't exactly know how that would work and haven't tried it. Might take a while of trial and error. That and I apparently just walked into self-fail.

Some (most?) of those might be updated renames where someone does a (failed) half-arsed job of it and then someone does a better (successful) rename on the same gallery with one rename at 118% and another at 8%.

Can your list generator eliminate those from the list or does it already do that?

Since I am here, I'd like to make a feature request.

This morning, while still partly asleep, I posted an Auction for 60 HatH at the HatH Exchange. The problem was I only had 33 HatH in my account. It accepted my Opening Bid and Buyout but only listed the 33 HatH I had. With an auction asking for 3,300 C per HatH, it is obviously not going to sell.

The feature request: Have the HatH Exchange reject an attempt to auction HatH if you don't have enough HatH, instead of just correcting (downward) the amount of HatH.

Alpha is right, it would be nice if we could vote down names to 0% where the system should kill them.

So I presume that currently unfinished renames do not deteriorate nor expire?

Not automatically anyway, but I ran a script to remove old 0% votes earlier today. Most likely it'll end up the same as expunges, being removed after a week of no activity, but I'm working on something else to better manage it first.

Cool, although I'd suggest letting us first go through those remaining galleries salvaging renames before they start expiring.

I just had another idea. When a gallery is expunged, and a replace/duped target is given, it would be nice if the system would a) copy tags (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) copy favorites c) copy stars d) copy names if none are being voted upon (yeah, this one is a bit tricky)

Yeah, because that won't backfire horribly with people tagging "already uploaded" and one-starring most dupes.
