Red, use 'posted from date' and 'posted to date' fields to keep search results under 5 pages (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

And unclick 'Search Gallery Name' to search only by tags, we can't do anything is the gallery is Misc (and should be) but has 'Western' in name, so it's no point to have those results in the list. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

1) I want to be able to put in Japanese(or unicode) tags

If I enter Japanese text as a tag, it displays as a sequence of hex characters rather than Japanese text

An example was a manga uploaded without the Japanese name.
So as to find more of this mangaka's work I found the kanji and though somebody else might find it useful so tried to enter it as a tag.

Well it is an english language site to begin with. With the renaming the names are being added to the titles and are quite often tagged in the romanized form as well.

In the create new gallery dialog there is a field "Japanese Script"
So I think they want this sort of information

You can add a Japanese title by using the "Petition to Rename" function, then post here to ask people to vote it up.

The number of doggie bag downloads in the stats

To be able to favorite an uploader, some people consistently upload things I like

To have instructions about how to search for duplicates on the upload menu
Some deliberately upload stuff without checking first (I think they get to keep the gp they earn anyway)
But many just don't know

And they're one of important factors for comparison of gallery versions, so we use them often just to see the number.

EDIT: So if that causes the site to zip the gallery, maybe it might somehow be avoided.

Just clicking the doggiebag doesn't make anything happen, it just estimates the size of the archive it'll end up with.

Tag Flagging is useful, but would be more so if it had more than two categories (or icons). For example, I would like to dislike both guro and already uploaded - but I'd like them to have two different icons (so I know which one to click and which one not to (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)).

Good enough. Or steal the icons from [commons.wikimedia.org] here (they are technically freely licensed, so it's not even stealing (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)). Here's a bunch of icons for the disliked tags: [commons.wikimedia.org] Skull and crossbone icons (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

When you click on Display Mode in search, it takes you to settings, where you have to click more. Why? If somebody clicks on it, they want to change it; there are only two options, so why bother with redirecting to settings? Display mode in settings can stay, but the link from search should simply toggle the change in 1-click.

Yeah, it would be nice if it could do that in 1 click... it wouldn't have to remember the result of this switch between sessions.

Minor renaming bug found: the rename system will not accept a petition where the only difference is capitalization (error: "That is already one of the suggested names."), ex. when changing name to Name.

Here's another thought: the delete confirmation message is hardly helpful: "Please confirm that you wish to delete this gallery." - it would be much better if it would tell me which gallery is it referring to (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) - so I could be sure I clicked the delete button on the right line.

It would be nice if we could see whether we've already rated a gallery, and I think the best way to do that would be to display our rating. Something like this is what I have in mind:
