Now that we have a decent hover script, I can now confirm this : I see absolutely no difference between https and http/alt. I have big lag spikes with both. I'm averaging 2.2 turns per second (which I assume is due to my computer), but I still do get frequent lag spikes in which it takes me 1/2 seconds before I receive a server answer, or even between 5 and 10 seconds between each action sometimes.

I'm guessing you are using Firefox with Adblock Plus, as I was seeing similar behavior with that. It's not a HV problem, it's an Adblock Plus is shit problem. Use Chrome or uninstall/disable Adblock Plus from the add-ons screen - just whitelisting the site won't work.

I'm already using Chrome. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)
Disabled hardware acceleration, whitelisted HV in adblock and using a custom font now. Goes MUCH better now, thanks.

Most likely it intercepts all messages then checks if the messages is whitelist, and the act of intercepting the message to check if it's whitelist slows the message down.

Don't know. I was diagnosing random slowdowns when making 0.85 using Firefox's own performance analysis tool, and the DOM repaint would sometimes stall for 1-3 seconds. Whitelisting in Adblock Plus did not change anything. Disabling or uninstalling fixed it.

You can also open a new tab and enter about:performance to get a simplified analysis of whether any of your plugins are slowing things down. (Firefox only)

I just checked the remade "new" bars. looks much better now, and less confusing. The presence of the HP number, faded in/out pipes and ORANGE pipes makes is so much better.

NOW I'm gonna keep these newlook bars. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I see no difference between HV whitelisted in Chrome's adblock and adblock being fully deactivated.

ABP is well-known to be slower and more memory-consuming than its contemporaries. Switch to uBlock Origin.

Firefoxs ABP has nothing to deal with Chrome's AdBlock. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Holy shit, that was the problem the whole time. I disabled Adblock Plus in my FF and after playing some arenas on normal, it was so lightning fast I couldn't believe my eyes. Even playing on PFUDOR is fast. The blip when hitting the space bar to go to the next round is minimal now. And a banner changed with my dawn event so perhaps it fixed the banner rotating problem, too.

I have Adblocker for YouTube and that didn't seem to make any speed difference, it was the Adblock Plus slowing things down. On the analysis, my Self-Destructing Cookies slows my browser down at times and I never would've guessed. Thanks for the knowledge.

I'm trying that out right now. Looks like it's blocking even more shit than Adblock Plus did, especially on porn sites.

As for browsers, Chrome is horrible, I'm never switching to that. Too bad Firefox fucked itself up with that one update a few months back. I've had annoying problems with it since then no matter how many updates it gets. It never seemed to recover and return to its former glory.

The alert for equipment needing repair is red exclamation points at the top, just to the left of stamina.

I didn't know that. Passing it on.

- The day of week now has a moderate effect on elemental damage, where attacks and magic of a given element will do increased damage on specific days. (This is implemented as a reduction in effective elemental resistance for both players and monsters on the day in question.)

Is it possible that the mitigation reduction is still capped at 50%?
I'm asking because I saw an improvement with one equipment setup (0.66 prof factor) and 0 improvement when my divine prof is double my level (1.0 prof factor so 50% holy mitigation reduction).
It seems a bit counter-intuitive that to get the full benefit of the day you need to switch out a prof cotton.

Without any further details I can't wiki this point. Plus there are only 6 elements unless you included void.

With how norse mythology has to do with the elements, I bet it's something to do with that. Like... Thursday = Thor = Lightning, maybe? This is all just speculation though.

Now I have a big issue with the 1 stamina spent per Item World run : the lower the equipment quality is, the more punishing it is.
IMHO, the stamina cost should be proportional to the quipment quality, so it remains fair for everyone.

Oh yes, didn't notice I lost less than 1 stamina par IW run on my Exq. My bad.
Is it affected by difficulty setting or not?
