You should have an option in the settings to revert back to the old layout. Don't really like the new HP/MP/SP bars.

I'll be honest. I don't really like the lack of information this new HUD provides. The new bars are much harder to read than the sidebar. I don't know how much HP I have. IMO, I feel like the game has been dumbed down in this aspect. With proper numbers and information, you have better control on exactly how you would like to battle. Mana and SP control now feels more like a guesswork rather than properly controlling your recovery by looking at your exact HP numbers.

Also, some people enjoy these games by watching their numbers get bigger and bigger over time. The grinding RPG players. The new updates make these numbers less obvious and obscure and therefore could potentially be reducing the appeal of the ever-increasing stats.

I feel like this is an update to make it look less overwhelming and easier to navigate on a mobile browser but then why make the PC version suffer as a result? There should be an option to toggle between the two.

As for monster naming, there could be a feature for players to vote on a monster they fought. Godville is a game that did this(I just posted this on a naming thread), but they had to pass the voting before the monsters are even approved into the game. The results are absolutely excellent: [wiki.godvillegame.com] List of Monsters. This list is pretty much entirely community-named monsters. Could be a decent model of reference for any future mechanics implementations.


Agree with all of this. Especially the less control part. No text in an entirely text-based RPG = lol.

This so much. At the very least, it shouldn't take a turn away from you just by pressing R after defeating a mob (a turn during which you take damage I might add). Pretty much this as well. Also, would it be so much to ask that I see what round I'm in AT ALL TIMES while in battle as opposed to just 1 text line at the start of the round which disappears after 2 casts? Seriously. I can't tell you how many times I've asked myself "what round is this again?" when I shouldn't have to.
I think somebody mentioned gem notifications as well (or something like it) which would have been a much-needed improvement as well.

I'm pretty sure it's acting like the opposite now. a killing blow now never activates Ether Tap. Not sure if it's intended though.

You have to always hover and select what you want.

Utterly annoying since I can't get back to the character page or the equipment shop with a single click.

I guess to make the portal mobile-friendly.

Before 0.85 the only browser (on android) where I could use the slide-down menu was Opera.
Holding on the button until the "open link/save image" appeared, made the slide-down menu appear making browsing possible.
The other ones opened the main function when tapped.

Now with 0.85 tapping on mobile always opens the slide down menu, making it easier.


On the other hand it makes longer some PC uses.

Haven't read through all the comments yet, but using the completely default fonts for HV with standard 60.0.3100.0 (Official Build) canary (32-bit) and no extensions, the HV window is smaller than the window HV is trying to load.

This on both a 2560x1600 monitor and a 1920x1080 monitor. Tried it from two different computers.

I'd also still love to see the overcharge point number rather than hash marks on a bar because firing the OFC with Spirit Channeling ON takes at least 210 points, but merely seeing these hash marks makes it less reliable and results in lost turns.

Separately, I look forward to the restoration of HV Statistics and mouse melee to becoming compatible with 0.85.

Overall too much dead horizontal space. I have to zoom to 80% to see everything at 1024x768 (on default font too). I imagine mobile users are worse off.

Hi i believe scaling(or something) in HentaiVerse 0.85 needs to be slightly adjusted.

for example
every time i open new 0.85 it opens in a slightly smaller window in chome than it should be(0.84 used to open perfectly)

so for every-time i wants to change difficulty . either
i had to maximize
or
scroll left then down.
problem is because window open slightly smaller than it should be

PS: problem still came back next time even when i elongated the window

1.- Equipment ranges doesnt works with the new layout.
2.- HV manager doesnt work.
3.- The main scripts for clases seems to not work.
4.- The fonts doesnt fit on the general HV screen.
5.- The new HP/MP/SP/OC display is odd.

Pretty much things that can be solved.. right?

Bug:

2h Shatter Strike no longer makes enemies stagger (Stunned). I tested this a few times, before I quit playing. But it did not work for me. I have 2h Longsword if it makes a difference.

You can no longer develope scripts without losing stamina in GF. I just lost 4 Stamina before I realised IW and GF both lose you 1pt when entering. I was just going in and out to test the new interface.


Personal View:

- Charges system is better
- HP/MP/Spirit bar is worse. Lacks the current/max value
- The new inventory makes you click more than necessary.
- Negative not having a sidebar. Instead you have this wide empty space on the right in battle mode. Now everything is crammed ontop of the log pane.
- XHR is upvote x 9000

Oh well. I think it's time for a break anyway. You cannot please everyone, but I know a lot of hard work goes into this, so thanks. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
