QUOTE(Dndestroy @ Aug 14 2009, 17:24) That's why I'm grinding it out on cake, gain ~400 exp a run (about 10-20 exp a battle) before having to restock my mana pots or hit the healer. But yea, someone else brought up a good idea for the infusions, instead of increasing rating, make it an out of combat use item that increases proficiency slightly (like .25% or so) and make them drop less, but worth more. As it stands they're just good for selling for me at least.
I doubt they'll be made to do that, and I'd think it a much more likely possibility that he simply adds a rare item that can do that (of course the out of battle use needs to be enabled first). Also, once you gain a nice number of item slots, increasing your rating by 50% for 10 turns can be dead useful; I like what they do now, even if I don't use them often (think infusion of flames -> haste -> meteor meteor meteor). Infusions are pretty powerful, used right, but yeah they are probably better used offensively than defensively. Of course if there's one particular mob that ticks you off you can just carry one of their element and use it when you face one.
And if there ever were any item to permanently increase anything, it wouldn't be as common as infusions, and they certainly wouldn't be retooled seeing as there's quite a lot of them in the system.

now that there are some empty spaces in between cure/shield/barrier/regen, how bout some secondary item slots for infusions/scrolls (can only equip those in them)? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by Ebil☆Panda: Aug 14 2009, 23:47

I suppose arguably you could use a holy infusion and then cure/regen yourself. Thought so. @Tenb: So what's your initial reaction to my profic suggestion (besides sighing since it's another suggestion made by me; and then laughing because you'd make the cost enormous)? Not going to rule out making another training out of it, but I'm actually planning another way to raise proficiencies.

That's a much better reaction than I got to my last suggestion lol (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I guess it makes sense to wait and see how your idea works out first, and thanks for working on it. Reaching level 80 and having 3/4 of my proficiencies between 10-15 was horrible (still is horrible: they're now between 16-23, but I'm also 5 levels higher AND I've been specifically trying to raise them). QUOTE(Katya @ Aug 15 2009, 02:52) Good post for it being your 3rd!
It took me like an hour to compose my post...!!! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) QUOTE(Katya @ Aug 15 2009, 02:52) Any reward is better than none. If you don't use those items, they are worthless. At least by selling them you get 3 credits. And because 3 > 0, that is good.
Yeah i understand the logic, but what better way to promote trade than a proper reward system... I mean not every user is rich... QUOTE(Katya @ Aug 15 2009, 02:52) Here, have some credits.
(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif) Thanks a lot... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) You know it took me a month's worth of GP to get what you just gave me...!!! baww someone just jacked the cheap cloth gloves and pants i was about to nab. accept... item not found... sadness.
anyways, nice update. The random loot system is nice and being able to grind out a few of our proficiencies in advance is pretty cool. can't wait ta see the fully implemented equip system.
--- and thank you for moving cure to a level i could get at. dunno if the benefits drop off later but right now i can heal for bout 50% of my hp by targeting a weak to holy monster. one crude mana drought gets me the equivalent of 2 godly healing pots in hp using cure. makes rerunning arena challenges much more efficient.

Thanks so much for the great game. Loved it before and it just got better having cure as an early spell!

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Aug 14 2009, 04:24) Yay, a full page of ability boost bitching. Less for me to answer.
Also I've tweaked the cost of Ability Boost a bit more as it probably was a bit over the top, this mostly affects the tail end of the function. The intersection between the old and new lines are now around lvl 79.
So no thought of refunds for those that are in the lower levels?

Yea cause it would make perfect sense to ONLY refund those in the lower levels. Remember the whole thing about the HV not being the main game? There's usually a reason why the higher level folks are there and have a bunch of ability points ya know.

I think he's pretty much said NO. You've got to admit that it's going to cost you less for the next ones. Sure you lost credits, but in the end you won't have spent as much (probably).

QUOTE(TheBigR @ Aug 14 2009, 18:15) Wow people are still complaining about credit refunds. Build a bridge people (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) The mysterious box has appeased me. Unless I find out that Tenboro made more than 57. Then I will be annoyed again.

Hmm... I just bought a sword but it doesn't show up in my inventory. Do need to be a certain level to see it or something? Didn't get the chance to play the beta so I'm new to the whole weapons system.

Check your credits. Someone else might have bought it while you were still browsing. I meant to ask Tenb to make a little notice pop up when that happens. This post has been edited by DemonEyesBob: Aug 15 2009, 06:03
