QUOTE(3d0xp0xy @ Aug 14 2009, 01:15) I still think something like that would be unnecessarily cumbersome. I would be in favour of automatically adjusted prices, working in a similar manner to the GP conversion rate, based on how many are available and how many have been bought (call it "supply and demand", if you prefer that terminology).
I think that would be the best for the Item (and eventually Equipment) Shop. Personally I don't support an auction based system for the item shop. The prices should be determined dynamically. The fix prices are not realistic. e.g. Now I would get 44C for a godly mana potion (and there are none in the store inventory -> high demand), but a lesser mana potion would cost me 74C (but there is a high supply with more than 400 pieces) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) An item shop based on "supply and demand" would generate more realistic prices for items. The shop owner could then take a fee for the usage of the shop, like a city take fees on a market place for market stands. Let's say, you want to sell an item that momentarily has a market price of 100C. Then you will get 80C. The difference of 20C (20%) would go to the shop owner. The price the buyer would pay could then be 100C or also 110C (10% for the shop owner again). If then the market place for a lesser health draught would be 0.5C, I'm not sure that they would be sold in hundreds and only getting 40C-50C for sellingthem. On the other hand, should the prices really fall like this, the lower level players would have the chance to buy some helpful items cheaper than now. Players with lots of C still could buy at any rate they want, but on the other side the seller would get some good C that could be reinvested in training, items or equipment. I know from such trade systems, that at the beginning the prices would have strong amplitudes, but after a few days (it could also be in a few hours here) the prices would get in a realistic range. I know I'm a noob, but none the less I wanted to tell my two cents!

Did he say he'd be working on that? I wasn't bitching per se I was just pointing out the inconsistencies. Just hope we get that part of the money back (・ω・) This post has been edited by Ido013: Aug 14 2009, 02:13

It would be nice to get a refund, since not everyone has boatloads of Credits available, but Tenboro's time is better spent on improving the site in other ways.

That's exactly my point it took me months to get that much credits for the Ability Boosts I currently have. But now all those months were wasted and I could've gotten much more Ability points (゚ Д ゚ )

You are the one other person besides me that shouldn't want a reset since you would stand to lose ability points. You wouldn't be able to train it back nearly as far since you're well over 60. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Aug 13 2009, 07:11) - Changed "Ability Boost" to use the new scaling function. This will reduce the cost for every level below 60-ish, but increase the cost above that level. You don't want to know what the final point will cost you. Because ability points are in use, I've decided to not reset this training. Did you miss the part where I said my next point costs 1.25 million credits?

I understand you, but on the other hand those that are below that point will probably get a lot more ability points for their credit. Only with the credit that I could get back from the ability points I trained, I'd get at least 3 more Ability points if not a bit more..

And I would probably get another 5-6 more...it's not that big of a deal though. I mean yea, if I was one of the ones in the area of ~40 where I would only stand to lose creds without a reset I might be a little miffed, but that's life, and people should get over it. I'm fairly sure with the new item drop chance/quality etc. trainings you'll probably see a good deal of that money soon anyway. I'm just glad I can train cure and shield now, as well as use up all those crude/lesser mana items (cost too much to buy them but worth too little to sell for me :X) while training a bit.

We are talking about a refund for those below ~60 ability points; I would certainly not support screwing the few players who managed to get more then 60 under the old system and putting them in dept. bbgr, I hope your questions are answered - and mine - but give the boss a little time to read the thread (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) More question: Anyone knows the cost of AB from 1 to x? Anyone have tested the 2 newholy magic?

I only know how much it costs from level 3 to level 4 and it's 872 compared to the old 4k... so I'm guessing the first ones started at around 600-700. This post has been edited by Ido013: Aug 14 2009, 03:57

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Aug 13 2009, 08:11) - Because of these changes, Adept Learner has been reset for everyone. I've temporarily reduced the train time to 5 seconds so it doesn't take forever to re-train it.
Any chance of applying that 5sec training to everything else and making it permanent? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I love the update. I get early heal, and using the refund from Adapt Learner, I get additional levels for free (before, I had Adapt Learner at 20, now I'm at 39).

Did you reset everyone's levels of experience training? I was at around 105, and now I am back to zero.
EDIT: okay I see that he did... This is gonna take a while..

QUOTE(bbgr @ Aug 13 2009, 09:18) OMG, and in 2 hours I've to go to work...
Well,...
-Condemn and Purge description and effect.
First off, Tenb is probably still sleeping at the moment. He could be back in 2-2 1/2 hours from now. Condemn appears to be equal to the old Level 100 Smite. From my first battle log after this update (I got Condemn, all 5 Purge, and 4% Holy Rating)... 1 3 Condemn hits Scary Ghost for 237 holy damage. 1 2 You cast Condemn. 1 1 You gain 0.03 points of divine magic proficiency. 2 3 Condemn procs the effect Breached Defense on Scary Ghost. 2 2 Condemn hits Scary Ghost for 180 holy damage. 2 1 You cast Condemn. So, Condemn is Smite Lite. Purge is under the AoE side of the Magic Attack menu so, I assume Purge = AoE Condemn. According to the EHWiki, Holy is... Strong against ================ Cockatrice Rabid Hamster Scary Ghost and Weak against ================== Cookie Monster Mantitcore Mutant Peacock Blue Hedgehog Manthra QUOTE(bbgr @ Aug 13 2009, 09:33) Description of equpiment are a bit confuse. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) It is just raw data at the moment. It is meant to make sense to the game computer, not to us. When equipment is really turned on, the raw data will be changed and effect our player.. Although, a little explanation of the Equipment coding would be nice, especially to compare a weapon's potential future valve in combat. Can't help with the other questions.
