before weaken Amphibious Sperm Whale hits you for 83 crushing damage. after weaken Amphibious Sperm Whale hits you for 36 crushing damage. after weaken + shield Amphibious Sperm Whale hits you for 34 crushing damage. i know it's strength is based on my proficiency (currently 49.22), but now that i'm forced to get it in order to get the ratings after it (even tho it's only one point) i figured i'd bug about it again (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) plus you did say you'd look into possibly making it stronger so, can i has stronger shield? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Shield has the same problem Weaken had with growing useless on higher levels, but it's one of the spells I haven't gotten around to revamping yet.

Not only do you have more mini-bosses, but you (and they) are higher level... 82+83 vs 85+86. Weird (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Err well the 4x figure was an estimate, it's possible I screwed up the math somewhere and if so I'll look into it.

The vast majority of monsters have lower resistance to soul damage than the other damage types. But it's not necessarily the most efficient on everything.

it doesn't really seem to be doing anything as of yet tho :[ my damage with the ethereal sword is the same as it was before i had it (only things i haven't smacked with it yet are the legendaries) is it just one of those things that isn't working yet? or by lower resistance, did you mean something else?

I just got tripple ass raped on random encounter (on normal) with Green Slime, Cookie Monster and Rabid Hamster killing me with magic attacks in 4 rounds. Did not even get the chance to hit them back, just wakened them and got 3 criticalu magicalu lyricalu desu. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Tenboro: Did you also decrease their cance to miss? I'm getting slaughtered here. It's not like you do five times more damage. But no the effect on normal mobs is minor if any.

nah, wasn't expecting that kind of difference in damage my max crit on a monster was just over 900 with a normal sword (around 920), i was kinda expecting it to climb closer to 1000, but the damage seemed to be exactly the same my other thought is that the difference would be more noticeable on legendaries, since the damage against them was meager at best with normal attacks before (thinking it would climb closer to what my normal damage is on normal mobs) is this more of what it'll do, or is the difference still so small that i probably wont notice any difference?
