The chance to get gear isn't much affected by the difficulty, but the quality of the gear you do get is improved. However the higher level the arena challenge, the higher chance you get a gear drop from it - the final challenges have 100% chance of gear drop.
There was however a minor bug that caused an equipment drop chance bonus for boss monsters to be applied to the overall drop chance instead, that should be fixed now. But since this bonus was originally designed to scale for legendaries before I decided to have them drop a Trophy instead, it's not that significant for normal boss monsters.

Err no, it's not supposed to do that. Does the spell actually disappear or is it just the icon that's gone? That is can it still trigger?

I have not seen it trigger after doing that. I still had 2 more rounds after that and I never got an absorb message to my knowledge.

I fucking quit on beating Endgame. I tried 3 times tonight...
1st Attempt: Mikuru Asahina. Failed to hit her with Silence 3 turns in a row, destroyed with magic for 8000 damage. 2nd Attempt: Real Life. Butt fucked, period. 3rd Attempt: Mikuru Asahina. Got her Silenced, Weakened and all the other monsters killed. Unleashed a full blast Spirit attack (414 pts with 150% overcharge) and it hit for 1550 damage. Tried to slow play her and NOTHING hit for over 100 damage.
So yea, fuck this.

What do you mean by final challenges? Endgame? Since I beat The Road Less Traveled and got equipment for clearing, but then beat A Rolling Stone (FIRST TIME!!!!) and got a potion. And I guess I missinterpreted the final set there as being final challenges. Wow, I feel like I just explained the correct answer and what I did wrong right there. Yay4Drugs. @Tenb: I've gotta put a request in for some other method of countering whack-a-death tactics other than +5% mp/sp for monsters. It's simply ridiculous. I run out of MP, then they all get to use their magic and/or spirit based attacks 2-3 more times than normal. Each. It adds up really really quickly.
Maybe base it on number of monsters alive? on the field (omg, first yugioh reference i've made in years) Only replenish for some? Idk. Something. Please?

I had two points in cold snap giving me 4% cold rating. Now that cold snap is at the end the two AP automatically tranfered to snowstorm... Or so it seemed on the Abilities screen. I still had 4% cold rating on the character screen and no access to snowstorm. I have now put a third point into snowstorm. This now gives me access to the first tier of snowstorm with 4% of coldsnap while on the abilities screen still showing I have tier 3 in snowstorm.

Try to reset the abilities like Tenboro wrote at the beginning of this thread and then distribute the AP like you want it to have.
