Been a long since I posted a comment on the forums.

Just saw that the home page that I bookmarked long ago, which displays the banner on the top / news in front and the banner with the login part on the right, change to the gallery section.

I guess Tenboro got tired of that look or is he experimenting?
Eh. Not a problem.
I can adjust.
I also see that events are still triggered by viewing something in the gallery.

You probably already got it sorted, but https://e-hentai.org/news.php is the one you want to bookmark if you haven't already.

I kinda miss the home page. It's weird having it gone and just getting dumped straight into the galleries.

I know, I don't like it. I never liked the galleries. The main site was the place you decided where to go, the splash page. Now the galleries are literally the splash page if you know what I mean. Ew.

Just feels like there should be a "Front Page" instead of the gallery stuffed down your face on the default URL.

Yeah, just put it back but take out the extra stuff like the oldie doujinshi links and make the banner template area bigger so we have more to work with when making banners. I liked reading Tenb's tweets out there. And make links on the front for the stuff in My Home and showcase HentaiVerse there, too.

I never liked the galleries.

It is really a caching issue. They come over after some time. And, once everything migrates, they should work better.

I find it to be the opposite. It may be my understanding: but are you asking Tenb to change the website because it looks bad among your bookmarks? That may not be a very well though proposal.

You can try putting the news page on your browsers "New Tab" page. In FireFox you can drag and drop any bookmark into the "New Tab" page for quick access.

For what it's worth, I'm also a fan of the old frontpage.

Galleries will drop the g. and host directly on the e-hentai.org root domain. Old links should redirect to the new ones wherever possible.

This is a bit unclear. What do you mean by "whenever possible"?

I'd like to point out that 2 things.

1. Old galleries being redirected to the root domain is not happening yet, at all. (For me at least)

2. g.e-hentai is still accessible, and if the url is put manually, even the very recent Galleries (Which are being uploaded AFTER this update) can be opened in the g. domain.

Looks pretty nice. More harmonious that the old one. Although I think it would look better with just a tad more space beneath the navigation bar.

i was having a 2 year record of not ever visiting the inferior galleries, only the norwegian one. this broke it.
besides, the new news section will hardly, if ever, be visited by the masses
extra besides, the front page is how i discovered this site, back when hentaikey had a (free) search engine for hentai sites about 10 years ago or more (im terrible with numbers) and not the laughable "pay us for hentai movies available freely everywhere! and shitty in-house artwork!" scam that it is today.


holy shit, a flurry of hentai sites found through that old search engine just came to my memory! im gonna go see if they are still even active!
extra holy shit! aerisdies is still active? though it hardly gets new content... most of the hentai sections have not recieved an update in years, its like they froze in time.... this is extremely creepy.

I'm quite happy with the e-hentai.org/news.php page. I really hope it won't be deleted nor further altered to lose any of its current functionality.

That's the page I leave open and keep refreshing to get my dawn events and random encounters, and I get to see the pretty banners and the latest news too (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I guess that it is until we find/fix all inconsistencies (there have been several found yesterday, today i just logged-in).

I'm pretty sure that tenb will run some updater script to rewrite previously posted links.

Where are the news and forum links now located? I specifically have to web search for the forum now since the old main was replaced.
