If you're using Firefox, try disabling HSTS Priming (about:config > search security.mixed_content.send_hsts_priming > set it to false)

The developer version of Firefox is broken. Don't use it, or do the change above.

User gallery comments made on 2017-01-some 20, 21 & 22 have vanished

I'm not having any problems with bookmarks whatsoever with the https it redirects just fine in mine.

It seems the site updates are in "News" link now. It works ok for me.

I think that it is better to change that the link of the forum news link is the gallery front page.
Or change the name "NEWS" as "FRONT"etc...

API url in the wiki needs to be updated, using the old url will cause trouble with the SSL certificate verification.

You can secure remaining cases like the karma link from your side, set the secure flag on cookies and protect against SSL stripping attacks with [www.eff.org] HTTPS Everywhere.

I'll miss the old page I guess.

Even though I kind of disliked it at first, having the news page as the new "Home" seems interesting, as I didn't even use to check it that much before.

To be honest I liked it better when e-hentai.org went to the 'old' page for a number of reasons.

1. It always had latest news and updates as first thing visitors would see, rather than skipping directly to galleries only to complain if something seemed out of whack just because they were too lazy to check news and updates.

2. It always triggered HV's hourly monster event and Dawn of the Day event, very nice thing when you just want to do a quick trigger of either.

3. It was sorta SFW as except for tiny thumbnail of a doujin cover at upper right (which could be either SFW or NSFW depending on random cover picked which was small and could be conveniently covered up or blocked one way or other) for cases when you just wanted a quick visit to trigger HV event or Dawn event. Or hit the EH bookmark by accident when someone was around.

4. Furthermore, from the old page I could still access HV or forums in relatively SFW-ish manner by not going to galleries next.

I agree on the first one, but as for the rest, how many seconds does it take to type /news.php?

Tenboro is punishing us by changing the homepage so we see nothing but furry, futa and people's personal scribble art in the galleries.
