Maybe a proxy account should be used?
Like a proxy to receive donation and commissions and the main account to transfer money in and out from the proxy
That way if the proxy gets reported the main one will be safe

Well, when I asked a translator they mentioned he's expressing his annoyance about someone translating his works, obviously without permission. While when I initially Google translated it, it just came up with him commenting on the nature of the comment about a villains dick, and included that very line in Foxy Rena 9 (check bat girls t-shirt), so I'm not sure which is correct.

As for any semblance, it's just a minor anecdote about encountering an author reacting to the posted work I was directly involved in since I edited that very issue of Foxy Rena.

The group I work with has a number of people with a grudge against it for some dumb reason or another, so they've had it happen once or twice. Probably mostly because it also does fansubbing, and the fansubbing community is full of that kind of shit.

Paypal will suspend the account and seize any funds in it.

My advice is that you should never keep money on the account and that you withdraw it to your bank account each time you get it even if it takes some days. I've yet to have a commissioner try to pull a fast one by requesting PayPal return the money but you never know...

I know few translators who employ that method, it should be fine but PayPal might start asking about things if there's a lot of money going in and out and it's not a business account.

I've thought about commissioning you to pick up event related things but I always keep missing the dates because my real life work has effectively given me some sort of stress related memory problem.

If I actually added some sort of solid charge for scanning and cleaning, I think I could effectively cut out like 90% of my commissioners. It's shocking how people think that buying comics and such from Japan and then having them shipped to you for scanning and cleaning is not money and time consuming.

Anything that decreases a gallery quality is not all right.

There is an easy way to get rid of such nuisance: tag the gallery with a fjord tag. Yeah, it's not how they are supposed to be used, but you can remove it in few months, and the complainer, who likely doesn't know the fjords, won't see it. Or if you have already upload the new version, reupload the old one but add a fjord tag. May need to wait few days, or the tag nazis will vote it down.

Another thing is, translate the gallery with decensored version, of course.

I am all for supporting the artists, but unless they can show me statistics of their income per dojin, and details of how they are sold, I don't give much credibility to claims that piracy hurts sales. On the contrary, the argument that piracy = viral marketing = boosts sales is at least as valid. Plus, thinking our work here is helping the artists (even if they don't' realize it) is making me sleep better at night (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
