Proxy bids were broken. QUOTE(Superlatanium @ Sep 28 2016, 19:23) Sorry, fixed now. I added a check to see if the thread was just posted (the script waits until post #4 before posting/changing anything) so proxy bidders will know if their submitted bid went through but hasn't been updated in the thread yet. But I made a syntax error in the PHP and didn't notice until I woke up (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) My mistake

don't know if it has already been discussed, but what about to introduce a "xxx ++" or "xxx minraise" tag to allow users to bid the minimum possible increment on the xxx item?

Specifically, if it's an option, it might turn every single post into something like "[code 1] inc" "[code 2] inc" "[code 1] inc" "[code 1] inc" etc., without any indication around any of the posts of the actual amount being bid. Sure, it would still be easily processable, and the first post would be updated to the correct current bid amount with no problem, but it would make following the bid chain just by looking at posts in the thread significantly more difficult for normal users. It also creates the possibility of inadvertent overbidding when users aren't explicitly stating exactly how much they want to bid.

I don't think the function +10% is a good idea. In a situation where more people bid on the same item, there would be a bid overlapping, with people actually don't even knowing how much they're bidding (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Proxy bids are more than enough...I'd just increase the number of times you can raise your max bid...I don't see a real sense on limiting it to 3 per item. QUOTE(ppp82p @ Oct 2 2016, 20:35) Proxy bids are more than enough...I'd just increase the number of times you can raise your max bid...I don't see a real sense on limiting it to 3 per item. Mainly due to the discussion that started from post #94. Basically, proxy bidders submitting lots of proxy bids on the same item gives them a decent chance of evading the minimum bid increment after someone else tries to outbid them. IMO it doesn't matter much, minimum increment of 50k/3% is already tiny, but it's still a potential exploit that I decided to fix. Another reason is that if someone submits a certain proxy bid, and then gets outbid, and they want to bid again, that implies their first proxy bid amount was not their true maximum. (Being able to submit your true maximum is the whole point of proxy bidding) Either they intentionally submitted an amount less than their maximum in an attempt to evade the minimum bid increment on the last bid, or they didn't honestly consider how much they truly value the item. They still get 3 chances to nail down their true valuation of the item. That should be enough.

Your next auction shows 370 bindings of slaughter as one auction item.
There's very very few that can afford a 50m auction item.
Can this one be broke down to smaller lots?

Somewhat of a First World problem, but may I request that the outbid notifications include the outbidding price in the subject heading? The e-mails I get from the forum just pass me the subjects of PMs I get, while only the actual PM determines the need for action or not. In other words, my process after getting the PM would be Check e-mail => Check PM => (Optional) Take action. Again, it is merely a minor inconvenience.

Done, not hard to add Though I thought email subscriptions were hard-disabled by 10b due to the sheer number of users?

Though I thought email subscriptions were hard-disabled by 10b due to the sheer number of users? Thank you, very much appreciated. The board e-mails I am getting are of the " Send a confirmation email when I receive a new private message" variety. The option is still available and working for me, but should I stop using it then?

If you're technically able to use a forum function then I'm sure it's fine to use it unless told otherwise.

Just curious, what happened to Jenga's estoc?
I saw blackjac00 and Amiya doing bidwar till 46.35M proxy from Amiya , then the price jumping to 90+M, Amiya cancelling, blackjac00 45M winning for a few minutes and now the max bid is again 46.35M proxy from Amiya.
There is nothing about Two01 on the thread so I guess hidden proxy bid happened? I think they should be tracked in that case (I wouldn't like seeing my bid raised without knowing who did that).
