40M is something new. it's since a couple of days ago. usual price was around 30M. and well, surely it's a nice amount. but (at least personally speaking) it may be the result of two years of grinding. it's not like we were suddenly gifted with 30M out of nowhere.
or there are even some people who may have asked for a loan just to be able to purchase it - in which case you may think about a negative credit balance for quite some time. afaik 0 > negative, isn't it? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

A gold star gives you 10k credits & 6 hath daily, 43k in total plus perks and what not. 30m/43k = 700 days = 2 years. It will pay for itself without you doing anything after 2 years instead of grinding like a madman.

I'm pretty sure you can get a GS or two in one year if you play every arena and RE in high difficulties.
