A goood distribution isn't about ratio, but rather the difference in points allocated. But from what you're saying, it's a very bad distribution. What matter isn't that much how many points you have in a stat, but rather how expensive it is to upgrade it, compared to how useful it is.

Best we can do to help you is NOT sending cloth or staff level 80. Mage sucks at low level. Better try different styles below level 100, and then choose 1h + shield + heavy armor, or Dual Wield + light armor. Use that until level 310, when imperil gets useful and mage becomes playable at high difficulty. At your level, you should be able to play at Hell and melee style will allow that. Mage won't.

If we are talking about persistent, soul fragments are obtained from Random Encounters. They happen every 30 minutes when you are browsing a gallery or the news page and get an encounter. You can also use userscripts to make this easier.

There is a daily cap of 60 soul fragments a day, which you get in drops of 5 from the RE.
You can also buy them for 1000 credits. They are untradable.

Now it is when I really recommend you not to soulfuse things as a new player unless you are extremely certain you are making the right decision. Most often than not as a new player you want to swap equipments every few levels and moving towards a build. 99% of the time a melee build.

I want to try a mage build some time in the future, but every time I try I do crap all damage and run out of mana half way during a run. How do ppl avoid that? I'm not sure if you have been, but you may want to follow this guide.

I've read in the forums about people your level successfully using (albeit slowly and dangerously) magnificent mage equip, but in general, people try to swap to mage getting legendary equips and committing to use them for an extended period of time. You do need decent base equipments to play in PFUDOR. I would just follow the aforementioned guide, probably getting a budget charged set around 20m/30m credits and being realistic about your proficiency goal compared to how much you play.

As a novice mage, when your proficiency factor is quite below your target, you will struggle to do the hardest arenas in pfudor, use more consumables and spark a lot more often. It gets better very fast.

I never read this simply put in a message in the forum when I swapped: when you play as a mage you are in fact expected to use mana potions essentially on cooldown and some arenas will require you to use an elixir. You should accept these costs as part of being mage.

Can't recommend maging (at least on higher difficulties) unless you got at least very good mag pieces, preferably legendary pieces. Charged prefix or radiant on phases helps further. At least you're high enough level to have maxed out imperil, it helps a lot. As mentioned already when your proficiency is low you'll be chugging mana pots on cooldown and using mana elixirs regularly. As your proficiency gets higher and your gear gets better you will eventually be able to do arenas without needing mana elixirs and might even manage to not drink mana pots that often.
