So where does the folder name come from, then? Also, what is OCD? (I know I should look it up, but I’m dead tired, and short acronyms can be a pain in the... ass.)

I think it's just the first word that came to my mind. When you do a lot of programming, there are a few words that you always use for temporary stuff: temp, test, abc, aaa, xyz, gay, bro, bruh, ass, cock.
".ass" is for stuff that I have organized into folders but haven't sorted out the tags for yet.
"notass" is for stuff that is fully unstructured and I haven't touched at all.
"semi-sorted" is for stuff that I have organized into folders and also kinda sorted out the tags but haven't coded the script to clean up the tags.

I only use Ableton and it manages its own library folder so I don't have something like that. Usually if you think of .ass as a file extension, it has to be anime subtitles.

12k tracks. I'm working towards making it fully automatic. I'm like 75% done but have been procrastinating with the final part (since 2021).

At an average of 4 minutes per track, it's 48000 minutes of music. i.e. 800 hours.

At a rate of listening of a bit more then 2 hours per day, in just 1 year you can listen to all. You probably won't remember any but the most recently listened, though (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I listen to music almost every moment I'm awake so it took a lot shorter than you would expect. Tbh I leave music on when I sleep as well.

Just did a quick check and it's 861h in total. I tend to skip the OST albums though, and they take up a huge part of these so it might actually be a lot shorter as well.
