The other time something like this was said to me (on a message board) was when I first played a hentai game perhaps 20 years ago. I've played less than 10 hentai games since and not downloaded a tremendous amount of hentai. Didn't turn into a perv or anything. Maybe. I'm not sure.

I think trophy buyers might be waiting for the update in persistent so they can choose the slot when trading them for at the shrine. Meanwhile is a race to the bottom until a wealthy player pulls the trigger and buys all the cheap trophies.

Personally I think when we get the upgrade trophies will recover and might be even a bit more expensive because we will have less RNG when trading them for armor, so bigger chances of getting something useful.

After that trophies might get even more expensive depending on how good/bad the core system will be.

It could also have been that the prices were being propped up by competing resellers who were willing to hold longer until a FoSer came and picked them up, while taking on the risk of the prices fluctuating... and now they've somewhat paused their activity, or hit limits with their funds.

But I'd just note the top spenders lists: most FoSers are inactive (or not buying) at the moment. This isn't really unusual - most FoSers only last 3-6 months before they lose interest or stop buying.

That's a risk that comes with a market that usually only has 3-4 sporadic major buyers at any time. If even one of them drops out, the demand fluctuates enormously until someone new fills that spot.

Pretty much what Nezu said, since several FoSers stopped and number of trophy sellers kept increasing the prices plummeted all over so either the FoSers got what they were after or they simply gave up after trying and getting crap for millions or just realized how pretty the sky is outside at times.

Right now the line is being held by a handful of them but it's still not enough to keep up with current supply, so better buckle up because it feels we've yet to reach the bottom. I was checking the prices pre isekai S1 update and the current falling ones are still miles better than the prices back then, when SG trophies were worth a measly 1200-1300 credits each, so no need to despair...yet. But just in case better start saving some credits guys.
