Actually, no. Mage is playable at all levels, but... don't expect to play it at a difficulty as high as you can manage as 1H / 2H / DW / Niten.

If you want to clear all arenas everyday the fastest possible at Hard difficulty, then you can already do it as mage. The real issue will be to get your hands on not too crappy equipment. Perhaps it can be played with very, very good Exquisite equipment, but there is a fair amount of players who get started with Magnificent clothes.

Got it, thanks for your reply, I think I should keep 1H until I get some great equipments for mage. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Just out of my curiosity.
I think 1H is the best kind of HV, it won't cost a lot of potions, and this can save money, why you switch to mage ?
Sure, you can do a lot with 1H with just minimal upkeep, like potions or even draught. I made just today an jugg5 IW for someone else with my 1H set and i did just spend two mana potion, and tbh those were even just a mistake. When you are allready used to keep your mana as full as possible when you play mage, it really does trick you into doing the same think as 1H. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) But the answer is easy. Playing mage is about speed, when you are faster you are able to play much more per day, if you are able to play much more per day, you overall income is much higher. Also the SG arenas really did go onto my nerves by how it took me to clear them. I really prefer the just a bit more as 2k turns i need for DwD now. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Also i did everything wanted as 1H, there are just no more goals left. And been a mage is something i still have goals to reach. So when snowflake gave me my good item drop every two years and it was a LHOH it was decided.

I ask the question for mage to some players, but many players recommend me that I should keep play in 1H warrior.

Maybe it's because my level is too low to be a mage?
Well been a mage is expansive. At least compared to the other styles. And it also need more specific equipment to work. I mean you can play 1H with light armor and a kite shield, that may not be the most efficient style to do it, but it is possible. I mean damned, you could even use a vampire weapon or something similiar useless, but never try to do maging with a missmatching staff, or a full phase set without any prof pieces, because all it would give you is misery. Also the equipment should at least be decend, mage no matter what will allways be nothing more as a glass canon, but with bad equipment? Lets just say the game is fun as glass cannon, as glass butter knife not so much. Know what i mean?

Thanks for the detail, I've definitely realized what Mage do and which kind of equipments does it need, for the reason that my current level and equipments are still not enough to change my playing style, I will keep playing in 1H.

Your detail is good for newbies to understand what playing style should they opt, I think it can be wrote into HV Wiki.

We try not to write too much about what players 'should' do on the wiki - it's a place for unbiased information, not for guides or walkthroughs.

However, there are exceptions: the beginner advice page (and the 'advanced advice' page) are the sort of thing you might be looking for, as well as the first page of the Ask the Experts thread.

... no, not at all. Even if it were 100MC, there is only so much that one can do with it before being poor again.

The only way out of "poorness" is to either stop whining/begging and start grinding, or to contribute to the site in a way or another.

(IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) That's what I thought too once upon a time, when I was around L.150 without income, without star, without confectionaries ... well, almost without everything. I was lucky enough that I was given enough Haths to buy IA 1 & 2 by a kind player, but it seemed to me such a huge sum that I hesitated almost a month before finally getting them, like it was a kind of sin to spend them (and that was really stupid of me, let me tell you ... after Postage Paid, getting IA 1 at least should be the highest priority of every player who wants to go on playing HV. Then Vigorous Vitality and IA 2).

Now you can see in my signature I've already spent almost 5k Haths in perks, and I'm still saving for others needed to play better. That's around 15 millions only in perks, then some millions in equips and forging ... and I still am a poor player and I will have to spend a lot more in future ... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

The truth of this game is that, the more you earn, the more you have to spend; we are (almost) all doomed to be poor forever (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

P.S. ; anyway, even if you have leveled up fast, you have started playing less then two months ago. And while leveling up may enable you to increase your income a bit, what it takes to really earn some money, beside what Decon rightly says, is TIME. Trying to rush things won't better your credits situation, believe me.

He might? Why did no one ever told me that 6.9M would be enough for that? Is this some sort of training or hath perk? Damned and i idiot did spend +100M for a septa star instead of the been free from poor forever perk/training. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif)

Wait, I thought of a good one. Why not have a Perk that, once acquired, gives you credits in proportion of how much play is done in HV ? I mean, other players' play.

Like, the more players there are in HV in a given day, the higher is the "day pool" of credits; style like a lottery.

Just those who have acquired the (costly) "Drain Perk" then will have the "Day Pool" shared between them.

Nice ne (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Gold star should cost players for 80m, it seems pretty hard to accumulate, how can you get that much credits ? by running h@h ? or donation ?

80M? Well that is no really such a big problem as it might look like. When you do all arenas on PFUDOR that gives you 200k per day just in pure credits. Okay, in the end it is a bit more but just let us calculate with 200k. For a whole year that alone would be 73m. And like i said, in the end it is a bit more so 80M for a full year doing all arenas no problem, because in the end you will also bazaar quite a few equipments, you will do additional RE, RoB, IW or maybe even GF. And depending on your style and your set, you will be able to sell additional stuff like potion, scrolls, bindings, materials and you may even be lucky and get a good drop and get some M for that. So yeah, 80M isnt that big of a deal.

If you have access to a Bitcoin cash dispenser nearby, better cough up 100 bucks and just get it right away.
