February already. So, how the poor players club doing in 2018? Not much charity, not much tips for poor players so far. Lot's of casual small talk. Is the purpose of the club in need of revision?

Oh ye. If you are moderate, lotteries are okay. Putting the daily GP on lotteries is okay for example.
If the item is really good maybe put 100 tickets, if you really want you may want to use your reserve a bit.
But buying GP hmmm, overall results demonstrate that it isn't worth it.

?? purpose of a club, it should be relaxing place to spend some time in idle (read:not necessarily useful) occupations, each one according to his own leisure. Or so I thought.

That thread already has reached 2100+ pages. Fusing small threads having the same purpose is one thing, but why make big threads bigger ?

But seriously, I cannot express opinions, if each time I do so my opinion is simply dismissed by the rethorical trick of saying that "it evades the question".

The question was about the purpose, and I said what I see as a purpose. Everyone can disagree (or agree eventually) with me or ask for more details or explanations. Using game-of-words to say it's irrelevant because it doesn't conform to what someone wanna hear ... maybe it's not like that, but it sure sounds a lot lke that.

Anyway, mods can do what they want about the thread, no need to go through a show of sending another mod to poke users in order to be able to say later "see, we asked and listened to the users before doing it, but we didn't get any acceptable feedback".
Not when what kind of feedback is acceptable is up to them it seems.

DJNoni, Scremaz, you're failing very hard at your moderator job right now, both of you. My (voluntary) quirks are nothing compared to what you're serving us. Unlike you, I will never do something as wrong as engaging in a crusade like that one, against the entirety of the HV playerbase. Bonus points for the low level/poor players who are major victims.

You're questioning the usefulness of a thread that is a more than just a bunch of posts. It is more importantly a symbol of solidarity, generosity, friendship, good atmosphere, and everything along those lines. By doing so, you're being the public enemy that you're supposed to fight, betraying your most important duty as moderators. You're now facing the rest of the HV players who are united in the name of all those values.

I do like both of you quite a lot, DJNoni and Scremaz. I won't go against your actions because I do care for myself and don't want trouble, but be sure that I'm ready to throw away our good relationship (which includes my support for various things) if you ever decide to bring your foolishness any further.

well, i think that closing this thread will hurt more than letting it running. so, i guess we should put our own tastes apart and consider it indeed *has* some use, objectively and without prejudices.
it's undeniable that some harsh words fled (i won't quote them simply because it's not nice to read them), but we'll try to see them as merely written while emotionally speaking about a sensible topic and as a way/feedback to improve our way to manage things here. even at the cost of repeating myself, not that being addressed a certain way is really nice to read, but well...

whatever, if users want for this to be treated as sort of a neutral lounge, i guess i won't/shouldn't say any more than this.
