I wanted all savage balance but as of 0.83 it became super rare. So I was waiting to see what direction to commit to but I am not 100% sure still.

With the IW on Katana and Waki, I used to have max counter parry but I was thinking of adding crit and dmg modifiers now. Still not sure.

personally i'd go for fatality and overpower - unless it's the proper amount to play FRD niten when combined with haste.

as for armors, one or two Balance can indeed boost your Crit, yep. but past that point the boost becomes so slow that you'll better going for plain Slaughter and boost ADB instead.

Yeah it hasn't been re IW'd yet. I had another waki but 'someone' wanted it.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. However I was comparing clear speeds and wondering if you got crit high enough then could you use the active ability rather than SS?

I'd go for full savage balance if possible.
If you can't get savage, plain slaughter is better than plain balance.
This is valid only for Dw/Niten though.
1h goes for damage with slaughter. 2h goes either for damage with heavy or for attack speed with agile shade.

Dw/Niten with heavy needs a good Crit to beat the classic Savage Shadowdancer in some way.
So either 5 savage balance (higher adb, crit chance and crit damage than savage sd) or a couple of balance and 3 slaughter (similar crit chance and damage but way higher adb than savage shadowdancer)
Only slaughter with this build I think is sub optimal.

Of course you should get a waki of balance with fatality 5 and forge max on crit chance, at least.

The issue with Power of Balance is that it's accuracy overkill with the 1H playstyle.
If you have a Power of Slaughter set, you can use it with both a 1H slaughter or a 2H Balance. or a 2H slaughter if you don't mind the accuracy, like in the case of maces.

Acc doesn't even matter when you forge enough and you get to an high enough level.
Balance is used to boost the Crit Chance greatly.

Two-weapon styles are the ones that benefit the most from crits.

And I believe so far the only magnificent I got is only from freeshop, and I definitely won't salvage that
