I suggested a few days ago in the legendary equipment thread that we make a new bazaar legendary equipment thread for the very purpose of alerting people. Some good stuffs there went to waste recently.

Most of the time when I saw an alert about a legendary item in the forums, it was already gone in the bazaar. "Item no longer exists" the most common result. Meaning nobody else got it faster, it just expired.

I think some kind of script that periodically scans your bazaar pages looking for legends might be more useful. Not as helpful to low level players who might not know about the script, but it might save a legend or two that you personally want to save and use yourself.

Then again, it would involve some "automation" and probably not be OK to use. Or, it might be acceptable to use if it only checked like, once an hour or something.

I know that if I'm thinking of it, I'll do a quick look through every tab in the bazaar using HVToolbox and filter for "lege" to see if any are for sale. Often if I do, they're terrible 500 legends with poor adb, leather, or plate. The same sort of thing nobody else wants and wouldn't bother to try auctioning/selling anyway.

For the most part it seems like the legendaries that make their way into the bazaar are there for good reason. It's very rare that any actually good ones wind up there.

Legendary Demonic Wakizashi of Swiftness you would buy for 50,000 - 150,000 in auction. Good ADB and Parry.
Legendary Shocking Katana of Slaughter is 0 - 50,000 beast. Subpar ADB.

So, overall if you bought them from the Bazaar for the less than 50,000, then it is a good deal (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

The totally different question is why did you buy them at first place? They are level 500, so you should be at least level 400 to soulfuse.
Given all possible EXP boosts, I don't think you will get that level faster than in 40 days, more likely in 90 days.

So you need to wait at least 3 months to just equip those two equipment, letting apart following facts:
1. You may buy gears with better stats in auction for reasonable price,
2. New patch may be published where katana/waki (or melee overall) would be tweaked, so those equip may be useless,
3. You may never ever start playing as Niten style.

I am not teaching you here, don't worry (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) I just saying those thoughts loudly so maybe some novice would read them and not buy high-level gears from bazaar (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

1. Due to the percentage, i think the cost isn't that much.
2. In game, i can't really stop myself from buying stuff when i have enough money for it (it's a bad habit of mine). So if anything, think of it as an expensive art piece you have in your house.
3. I've spent more on various stuff before i've started posting in the forum anyway.

About your 2nd opinion, hey, i've seen ppl keeping old Dagger and other various old Artifacts. Nothing wrong with being a bad collector right?

To be fair, I haven't looked at their levels at first. I assumed that since player is in level range ~200 - so does the equipment. Lately, I posted asking "what the reason to buy high-level gears, if one can use them only months later" (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
*IF* player's and equipment level would be most or less equal (or at least in 100-difference range), then deal would be good, I agree. But, hey, who I am to count other's money? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Bad drops.

1) Lv 500. And you are 300 below, 200 below soulfusion
2) Not good items: Katana is elemental, and Waki is neither Balance or Nimble.
3) Lv 500. Lv 500 items either have close to no value due to the soulfusion range, or are meant for flawless items that won't need to be soulfused when you reach max level.

I don't think they would even reached starting bid in an auction :|

If we were to make a bazaar legendary alert thread, of course the chances that any one of us would see it in time to make use of it are slim to none. But there would be a chance that someone would see it and prevent the weapon from disappearing.

In the past I didn't think too much of making that thread, because most of the alerts I made in random places, someone actually bought the item, possibly after reading my post. It was only recently that I made a couple of alerts and no one bought and a worthy item went to waste.

you cannot do anything about people not having the proper timing. and i too think a mere mention on ponyverse thread/here should be enough

if ppl put bookmark on each page of equip shoppe is just matter of openings all of them at once and clicking the toolbox bar where it is already written "legendary" to see all legends available very fast

i like checking equip and found even good equip IMO but was few times even checking daily
most nice things are lvl 500... so i am not even able to equips it yeti (／￣(ｴ)￣)／

It's all a matter of luck anyway.
The most I got from it is a bunch of HGC for 4-7k each, mostly dumped by some lv 500 that bazaars everything without looking (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
But always more often I see mag cloth around lv 150~250 dumped here and I think how many people do not read the forums and tosses useful stuff =(
