I don't really post here often, as I don't exactly consider myself a *poor* player, but I figured I might as well give my two cents on the whole "wealth" debate.
The way I see it, there are two types of income in HentaiVerse: the income you can get by playing the game (loot & credit drops and clear bonuses), and income you can get outside the game. Naturally, any income from the game itself pales in comparison to what you can earn by using other means, which include running H@H, adopting servers, doing bounties, uploading galleries for GP, selling gold stars, and even the daily donation bonus (especially for the ridiculously high tiers).
The difference is that the in-game income is "free", as it only requires time. Most of the other ones also require real monetary contribution. So it makes sense that people who are willing to go the extra mile are also a fair bit richer than the average player.
That said, I don't really get the argument between the two gentlemen above.

You progress and build up, gain more, spend more, then gain more. But once you get to the high-mage level you oneshot rounds and you can't go faster than that.
You can only invest in stuff such as reselling (that will make you hated) or by donating more, or by scanning/translating/editing hentai, or by using up your bandwidth/buying more bandwidth to get hath and gp.
Nothing is free out of normal play.
Pretty much what I said.

And speaking of "flow", that is the basis of the economy on this site.
It is based as a capitalistic economy where wealth is defined as the "flow" of the medium of exchange.
Also agreed. Basically, the higher your income, the wealthier you are.
One's current credit balance is largely irrelevant in determining overall wealth. Someone who is sitting on 100 million credits but barely makes 100k/day is nowhere near as rich as someone who constantly has zero credits but makes millions every day. Spending credits on upgrading your equipment, or upgrading your monsters, or upgrading your profile via training/perks doesn't magically reduce your wealth. It just converts it to a different kind of wealth.
I don't think End of All Hope ever claimed to be poor. And it's also pretty obvious that RoadShoe is one of the wealthiest players on the site. And they both make fairly similar points.
So... what exactly is the argument about? (IMG:[
