thread has been closed for a few days. seems that "my hints weren't explicit enough", and it's only the most formal whine i recieved, so let's try this way: this thread doesn't have a purpose, and it's something like 100 pages speaking about nothing.

i was asked to give the users a weekend to speak about this. now it's friday mid-afternoon UTC, so i'll ask again somewhen around sunday afternoon. no valid purpose, thread will be deleted. obviously, such a purpose will have to be kept. some random offtopics here and there like in all the other threads will be fine.


just in case, this is a list of already existing threads, which i always planned to be permanently open:

Poor players club is useless, period. Unless you want it to be a "ask and receive" thread where one asks for charity / an equipment and someone makes an offer.

If a thread must be useful (as in "seriuos talk about matters of HV") to be saved from deletion/closing, then there are quite a number of others I've seen around MUCH LESS useful, go close those (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

This one has been very useful to me, and I take the occasion to publicly say THANKS and BOW to the generosity of The Original Zeo who gave me sooo much [see here] without even me asking (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

And what about the 10 people who got 100k from Goldage, here ?

such as? keep in mind that those i listed before are there to give users something to post their thoughts. remember we're in HV section, so discussions should be a bit HV-themed.

never denied those. i take the chance to thank users for their kindnesses, if i didn't do it yet. but one happened on page 103 and one on page 104. what are all the other 102 speaking about?

Or in General Chat, where there is "The Weather Thread" and such.

This 3d cannot be so bad to be worse than this and those I told before, and in any case does not generate as much traffic/overload to the system.

There is a strong HV community built and based around this game. It is true that we're all members of the EH community too, but there is a definite HV subculture/subcommunity within EH.

Getting to know my fellow players in a stressless and casual free-chat zone is an integral aspect of my enjoyment of the game.

The poor players (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) club is a two-birds-one-stone thread for allowing general relaxed chit chat, and for kickstarter requests. Yes the ask the exspurts thread is good for advice on how to make money, but it's not really the right place to beg or to be philanthropic.

Second to all of this, is the root question of "why remove it?" I'm not averse to needed change, but I don't understand what you are hoping to achieve by locking/deleting this thread?

Please don't take this as an insult scree, but it kind of looks like you're doing this just to show off your moderator e-peen. The thread is enjoyed by many, and negatively impacting none, so why take it away?
