That's what you get for not loving your monsters and turning them into Scavenging machines.
My fav monster went from 50% double gift chance to 188% gift factor.
...
Yeah I know, I chaosed her like hell.
I gotta admit that even when using the optimization method I described, it still takes more tokens to reach the same result. With 54 tokens we can reach this:
Scavenger 6 => 21 tokens => +15%
Every other upgrade 2 => 11*3=33 tokens => +11%
Total: 26%
Still far from the 50% we used to have, and barely any higher than just 55 tokens in Scavenger (25%).
The same applies to reach +100% gift factor. It took 210 tokens before the update (full Scavenging), but now with optimization it takes this to reach 200% gift factor in an optimized way:
Scavenger 20 => 210 tokens => +50%
10 upgrades at level 9 => 10*45=450 tokens => 10*9*0.5= +45%
One upgrade at level 10 => 55 tokens => 10*0.5= +5%
Total: +100%
Tokens: 715 tokens... more than the triple
So overall, everyone who wants to optimize the usage of chaos tokens to max out the gift income is losing. The only people who are getting more gifts than before are those like me who did invest a huge amount of chaos tokens into combat capability.
To get a +50% gift factor out of a monster that had Scavenger 10 (50% double gift), you got to have basically 50 upgrade points anywhere else to compensate. Quite a lot of investment if you ask me. Even more tokens to invest if you get 5 upgrades to lvl10 instead of 6 upgrades to lvl5 plus 5 to level 4.
Overall, that new gift system is an issue and will not solve the army of monsters issue. Even worse, these calculations prove that it actually makes it even worse.
Someone might want to bring this to tenbie's attention. (IMG:[
