Thanks for sharing. Certainly, it's not too absurd, but then again the important thing is availability of equipments in WTS, so I hope I get some luck there. Thank you!

yep... I think you probably could complete a 1H set with full leg power of protection/warding for less than 5m... the biggest spending will probably be the rapier budget...

Edit: HOLY you look 10x stronger than me My fire spell damage, cold mitigation, regens, agi and int, one hand and supportive prof, are higher, nothing else I'm sad

hmm... based on decon's auctions I think you could get Lv.<400 non-savage leg power of protection/warding for 250-300k each... thats ~1.5m for full set... if you spare ~1m for a decent shield, you still have ~2.5m for rapier which I think more than enough... well, you need to soulfuse them, but I only said you could get them for less than 5m... I doubt our stats will differ that much... except for 0 INT, my build is roughly the same for any 1H people...
Dunno how you're doing, because I see quite a lot of Leg Power passing by. Even I had a full Leg Power set before Lvl350. And it was way harder / a bit more expensive to get one back then.
If I had a piece of advice to give, it'd be not to ditch away Warding parts. That may not be the ideal suffix, but it'll help you nonetheless. Especially when it comes to save your spirit.

What's the hating on Warding anyways? Is it because it's only applicable to spirit attacks and not as versatile as protection? When you say you see a lot of Leg Power passing by, are you referring to items in your shop, i.e. lv<350, or those can be soulfused? I'm looking at some early-400 leg rapiers because I can't find them around 300, but their ADB is only around 25% so I'm a bit hesitant to soulfuse them lol. :/
Don't be too focused on the range percentage, really. There's actually not that much difference between a 0% ADB Legendary and à Peerless. Around 10% IIRC (on my smartphone right now so I can't check). The percentile really matters when it comes to optimize and max out your equipment. So mostly for endgame matters. If you intend to switch to mage later, then just take anything that passes by, do some basic/moderate forging on it, and save your credits for other important things. No need to invest in a high end rapier if you don't intend to max it out. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Heck I even bought average equipment for my cool mage build myself : my real goal is dark.
Édit: Forgot to say. Nothing wrong with Warding. Players don't like it mostly because it doesn't help tanking physical attacks, which are the most numerous, by far. But then they complain that celestials, sprites or elementals do hurt a lot. Imho, it's mostly a popular belief born out of ignorance and tunnel vision, but as I already told you, the best defensive builds do include Warding, in varying proportions.

Thank you for the detailed reply. Yea I actually noticed that ADB difference is not too big. I guess I will just have to find some moderately priced leg set, keep accumulate soul fragments to soulfuse.

I'm probably just being willful and dumb. Spending my credits on things that have minimal effect on my actual game experience. Now I think about it, I already spent _ _ _ M and I'm not even close to any 1H player. I'm sadder now (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I actually kinda prepared replacements for my mag powers and I'm just gonna rush to a higher level because I don't wanna spend my merely 4k fragments on something that is not decent. And at the same time, I don't want to soul-fouse top-notch equipment because I want it to be tradable. Also I don't have jug5 on any of my current equipment LOL. Maybe I'm just weird.

I do value wardings, it's just that there wasn't a decent leg power for a particular peice at my level I guess. Say I have twenty leg power armor and not a single gauntlet. I'm still waiting for a good one to come. If I had won any of the previous power in lottery I wouldn't have all these trouble. I was unlucky at getting those. I do get a few useless plates though.
When you can get a full power set is mostly based on your patience, I didn't get a full power set until level 352 from a lucky self drop.
It's easy and cheap to get a full power set earlier, if you are willing to spend soul fragments or waste a little bit of credits. But that doesn't mean you have to.
your level is still too low to be a mage, it is recommendable to wait at least until lv 310 when you can spend your ability points on better imperil to be able to cast without wait, that way you can imperil every monster and then hit them with magic, but still i'd say wait until level 400 to have better stats and be able to afford and equip stuff you buy from the weekly auctions i don't know what you mean by "nuclear" but you should equip parts accordingly to the same element, it's recommendable to use 3 phases and 2 cotton pieces and the proper staff for the element but the most helpful advice you should heed right know is to either go rapier+shield and power gear or DW and shade gear, but hey your choice
and just because you said nuclear, i have to post this:

I am almost OTK on Nintendo Mode and I have been a Mage since Level 1 and so far I am doing good. I did not know there were weekly auctions. Something I will have to look into. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

But seriously, you've been doing good with mage build, because at such low levels almost anything is good. Remember that you started NEKKID and still could fight and win; try that @ lv. 250 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Monsters get tougher and tougher, unlocked Arenas get longer and longer ... and so on and so on
As has been told, abilities necessary for maging cannot be fully max'ed until lv.310-350, see the wiki ; there are also other problems in going mage, believe me. I have also played mage since the beginning, but only as third option from time to time, so as to keep profs level with me (my main build is 1H/H, but I also play 2H/H, DW+Light & Niten+Light for fun and not get bored).
To me the biggest problem of mage is that above lv.200-ish you start needing some forging also for armor if you want to keep the difficulty high, and forging phase cloth cost A LOT because you have to use Phazons from the start. Plain cotton is cheap, but not good enough, because you need phase to put the turbo to your element spells, otherwise you take too much time to kill the enemies and they get you especially in 7-8 monsters rounds.
Besides everything mage (that is good enough) cost an eye and an arm.
OK, tl/dr : do play mage if you like it, but keep in mind that having a secondary build (suggested is 1H/Heavy) can be both fun and useful, and you can do the same battles with both to compare results.
Last but not least, you can also try 1H/Mage. This is hybrid style, where you cast spells but you have a weapon and a shield instead of staff; much more difensive (shield block) and quite good at any level but especially when you still haven't maxed Imperil nor Elemental/Divine/Forbidden abilities (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

A bit off-topic-ish, but what's your opinion on parry?
It's very punishing against physical play style. According to the wiki, it doesn't have any stat-based counter, and can only be mitigated by hard CC (sleep/stun, same for all other types of avoidance) or 1H overwhelming strike. Losing a turn to parry can be very punishing, slows down your pacing (and put you at risk for MP/SP attack).
Would be nice if we can receive a stat-based counter-parry.
well if you bothered by monster's parry, there's Overpower potency which give you 4% counter-parry each lv... and for 1H there is Overwhelming Strike buff which give you 20% counter-parry per stack... but yeah, monster's parry is really annoying... I sometimes think whether it better to reforge my rapier to get more OP as I often got parried when not in Overwhelming buff... but nah, I don't want to burn my shard for it yet...
