yep, it's up to you. just make sure to have good cropping on both end and preserve the aspect ratio when scaling.

The simplest way to get a banner working is to use layers and eraser. (yes, i know, blur and gradients look better but they're harder to understand)

Layers: [mygimptutorial.com] http://mygimptutorial.com/gimp-layers (pretty decent tutorial)
Eraser: [www.wikihow.com] http://www.wikihow.com/Use-the-Gimp-Eraser...mage-Background (not as good but it will do)

They're for GIMP, since that is free software, which you can simply download and use. People argue about photoshop and stuff, but really, for the needs of an EH banner GIMP is as good.

Dhongi420, If you make the E-Hentai.org Logo blend with the pic more, that would be perfect. But I quess that would be difficult with multi-colored background like that. altough if you do manage to blend it, I would say that it will be a masterpiece, considering how hard you make it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Your first banner in the thread was the one which had only transparency on both sides. Without the pink and without the two horizontal lines.
