The 95.211 frontends aren't capable of reverse proxying for the new cluster, and haven't been officially serving HV at all for over a year. Out of curiousity, could you traceroute both of those for me?

Actually I was wondering about either of two different possibilities; either it goes to some other account tied prize or you would multiply the soul fragments awarded by 5, 10, or 20. The April 16 weapon lottery is still only showing 9 fragments awarded though.

What is the difference from the two options for my second or third persona?

Will the cloned persona be a complete copy of the first one?

And what about the next persona? will it become a copy of the first or a copy of the second one?

And the blank option?

Do I have to fill everything out from zero?

Yes, the release notes of 0.83 state "Peerless cost 100, Legendary/Magnificent 50...". The new soulfuse costs are 10x, but our current inventory was also increased by 10x. I'm not sure why the change was done, except to perhaps encourage newer players who don't have a fragment surplus to do more REs since you have to play more to get the maximum number of fragments each day.

Cloned Persona should be an exact copy of the currently active Persona.

Blank Persona is COMPLETELY blank (I created a blank one to use for maging): PABs, abilities, unlocked ability slots, all equipped weapons & armor, battle items, everything on the Character settings page; all zeroed out as if you were a completely new player.

I already have two stands. One is a stand specialising in casting and one is a stand specialising in melee.


Now we just need a hath perk to be able to change persona during battle.


The fastest font is either courier or courier new I think. However with testing its only like 1-5% faster than Veranda, which means you need to be on a netbook to actually notice the difference. The difference between the default font and veranda is huge though.

The only impact this update had on my play is that it forced me to set "Use Separate Skillbar/Autocast Assignments" to keep my different autocast slots for each Equip set of the same Persona.

That, and it reset my Dawn XP bonus to the ground.

After HV upgraded, my battle inventory slots setting is changed. The slot with health draught disappeared, and the others shifted to fill the blank slot. My auto-cast slots setting also disappeared.

These default to off. If you want to keep existing assignments for your equipment sets past the first one, you should go turn this on now. If they are left off the next time you save your settings, assignments past the first equipment set will be lost.
Abilities/Skills

- With the Persona system finally in place, ability reset costs have been re-enabled. This now uses Soul Fragments instead of credits directly.

To enable the dual-use without making this exorbitant, the costs, gains and existing inventories of Soul Fragments have all been increased by a factor of ten. The Item Shop price was reduced to 1,000 C. The random encounters now give five at a time, and you can get it twice as many times per day.

The reset cost scales with the player's level, where players below level 100 will only ever get the base cost. For single-ability resets, it also depends on the number of levels put into the ability.

There is a discount in place for the first few times it gets used. The first full reset or the first ten single-ability resets are free. From there, the discount will linearly decline until you reach a combined 10 full or 100 single-ability resets.

The ability reset counter is per-persona. As such, this always allows for a full free ability reset if you want to clone a persona and reset ability assignments.
- The readouts for ability effects should now all be human-readable rather than a dump of the internal effects.
- All skills that had a placeholder skillbar icon should now have a distinct icon.
Misc

- You can now hold the Shift key to increase primary atttributes by 10 points per click, and Ctrl to increase them by 100 points per click.
- Chrome 50 introduced some kind of CSS rendering bug involving backgrounds of floating divs in nested positioned elements, which broke some of our overly elaborate rules that make the fancy text readouts. Made some tweaks to the CSS rules to work around this.
- HV is now running on a mini-cluster by itself. The backend system for handling the player state has also changed. It is now way more efficient, and doesn't require a whole separate database system to work.
- Added full HTTPS support. It's not currently used by default since it adds some lag, but you can switch to it manually if you want.
- Added IPv6 support. Should probably be considered experimental. Most browsers will fallback to IPv4 if your IPv6 connectivity is broken, but let me know if you experience unusual connectivity issues.
There are some major internal/backend changes in this update, so let me know if you experience any issues. Particularly, let me know if you ever experience things like ongoing battles disappearing or reverting back in time.

Note that one of the internal changes makes it so that any credits you earn during a series of battles won't be spendable until it ends.
Update: If you were doing any trainings at the time the system was moved, those didn't carry over because reasons. I've run a script to refund the trainings in question.

So soul fragment drops were essentially cut in half? All soul fragment costs were increased 10x while drops were only increased by 5x? If you're going to do that could you at least increase the drop rate to 100% per RE? I've already had it fail to drop 3 times today which is pretty disheartening considering the drops I do get are essentially half their previous value. Honestly kinda bummed with this change :/
