With more people starting to accept that shortsword could equal or be slightly better than rapier when using a full imperil style, I think an axe could be stronger than a shortsword for 1H. It just lacks parry, but 1H is the tankiest style so as long as you survive anyway it's fine for arenas. It should be a more straightforward comparison between axe and shortsword that can be handled with just theoretical math to start with. I've had other things to do lately, but when I get a chance I'll check the math to see.

a while ago i noted that these two weapons: https://hentaiverse.org/equip/136417923/93c295f256https://hentaiverse.org/equip/142865443/de7cfe3213performed similarly in SG arenas, fwiw. no skills used if not for OFC. back then i may have had 50 levels more than you, probably. though it should also be said that the notion of "similarly" is quite subjective. i may consider 1% difference not worth to keep two sets ready, while someone may see it as the whole world opening under their feet. |
