Scremaz I admit I was put off, a bit, when I saw all the drama in the thread, but I also found the discussion fascinating and educational (though also more strongly worded than I would have expected).

Either way, as a very infrequent users of price check, and a player who still doesn't have a good analytical sense of many aspects of HV economics and/or strategy, I am glad that the discussion happened in full view. I'd love to see it preserved, and even expanded upon. That said, maybe in a meta thread, for price check meta discussions?

Looking the prices of items in one auction is useless, it can change dramatically one week for another, the only way to understand a bit the market is looking at least at 20+ auction.

For someone i overapyed for my Armor this week, in my opinion i was incredibly lucky, if a bid war start that armor could have got up to 150M.

Really, the point is if there are more people that really want a piece, if yes the common pricing go down the drain.

Hard to estimate - somewhere in the 3-8m range. It's a decent item, but 3+2 can easily reach 1.0 with gloves/shoes, and 4+1 is significantly weaker without a near-peerless robe, and an absurdly high base prof.

It can still likely find a buyer nonetheless, but these factors affect why an average-rolled holy piece might not find the competition to drive it high.

(Niche uses: a katalox player can feasibly hit 1.0 with slightly lower, although still high, base prof, and some players with very low base proficiency might consider using a robe in a 3+2 configuration as a stand-in until they've grinded a bit more.)

At high level, close to minimum bid. At your level, I would say around 300k but should check more carefully. The weakness of that piece is low stats, making the savage prefix not all that impressive.

No, that's worth more than HGC. Having a good EDB at that level still means it has some value even if the prefix is bad. It is at least eligible for Decon's auction. It may not sell for all that much and might not sell that quickly, but it's better than just salvaging.
